LLBMC: The Low-Level Bounded Model Checker Google Tech Talk (more info below) February 22, 2011 Presented by Carsten Sinz, Stephan Falke, & Florian Merz, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Germany. ABSTRACT Producing reliable and secure software is time consuming and cost intensive, and still many software systems suffer from security vulnerabilities or show unintended, faulty behavior. Testing is currently the predominant method to ascertain software quality, but over the last years formal methods like abstract interpretation or model checking made huge progress and became applicable to real-world software systems. Their promise is to reach a much higher level of software quality with less effort. In this talk we present a recent method for systematic bug finding in C programs called Bounded Model Checking (BMC) that works fully automatic and achieves a high level of precision. We present our implementation, LLBMC, which---in contrast to other tools---doesn't work on the source code level, but employs a compiler intermediate representation (LLVM IR) as a starting point. It is thus easily adaptable to support verification of other programming languages such as C++ or ObjC. LLBMC also uses a highly precise (untyped) memory model, which allows to reason about heap and stack data accesses. Moreover, we show how LLBMC can be integrated into the software development process using a technique called Abstract Testing.
praise song I made some decisions in the last 2 weeks; I guess you could say that getting the "heart on my sleeve" tattoo was a catalyst, it made me re-examine some feelings and some things I thought I had figured out about myself. I don't really know how the future will play out, I have so many questions all of the time. This song is about that. Celebrating without rejoicing. I'm in awe of the forces that motivate and move me, although I cannot yet personally applaud the direction simply because I cannot yet understand it. Get a pen, Ill perform every word Its the chorus of you in the static I heard Half a page of perfunctory text In the scribble of feelings that you wrote on my chest Take a drag and then blow all your smoke in my face Ill inhale what you sing and Ill pump up the bass But no matter how much all the floor panels shake its just noise, it wont reverberate. Strum along with those air-guitar fingers Im done showing off and Im done singing Linger Cause I, like Dolores, also understand When theres No Need To Argue, you break up the band But those solo careers can be so hard to land. Its out of your hands, put em up Throw me down with a heart on my sleeve Ive been watching you go, but I wish that youd leave Turn me on, Im a fool for your violent voice I pretend not to hear you, I dont have a choice And thats why I praise—I do not rejoice. Hold the note just a little bit longer Youll run out of breath, but it might make me stronger If seeing you week was my coup de grâce Id ...
B17 bomber The Flying Fortress with a twist of Flower Power Photography by recycled artist/writer C. Reinke of the fully restored B-17 the "Flying Fortress" bomber plane of world war two is combined, often in-congruently ,with other images to make a statement of peace, It was difficult at times to keep in mind that this was a very effective killing machine and not just a work of master craftsmanship that verged on art. This is Reinkes first you tube presentation.
Mixed-Race and Mormon: A Chapter in Markal's Life Markal became a Baha'i this year. In this clip Markal continues to tell his story, describing his problems with drugs, his participation in the Mormon Church, his friendship with Rocky, one of the few non-white LDS members in his stake, and his awareness that God could hear him whether he was in church or not. Markal has given permission to share his story online. Flight on the Bumblebee plays incongruently in the background at the beginning of the segment, and a Yothu Yindi track at the end.
The Worst Three Minutes of Your Life Anonymous, incongruently with his daily schedule, is eating cereal... Will you survive the torture of fletcherising? Or perhaps simply the grossness will do you in? Dumb magic tricks? Dog's farting? There's only one way to find out.
