After Hours 09/16/09: Oracles Sales Miss Oracle, eBay, and Clarcor shares fall; Amgen and Immunogen strike deal.
BEBE, GLBC, JVA, OCZ - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 07/07/11 - The market had yet another big day on Thursday. It's getting a little overbought to say the least, but there's a lot of stocks that are still looking good and are breaking out. We'll take a look at a few of those. Bebe Stores, Inc. (BEBE), as many other retail stocks, had a big day on Thursday. It broke out of a one-year base pattern with pops in July and October of 2010 as well as the May pop being taken out on Thursday with a thrust, up 1.01, or 15%, on 3.6 million shares traded. That's by far the biggest volume in several years. This was an important technical move. A test up around 9 1 is forthcoming. Global Crossing Ltd. (GLBC) continues to act great. The big gap was triggered in April, then it coiled, broke out, flagged, broke out, coiled, and is now running again, up 1.50 to 41.00 on Thursday. The top of the channel measures about 51, and it wouldn't be surprising to see this stock in the high 40s. http Coffee Holding Co.Inc. (JVA) continues its beautiful action. It's been thrusting, flagging, popping, pulling back, testing, coiling, breaking out, inside day, and popping again on Thursday, up another 2.33 to 22.35. Before this is over it could very well reach 30, 35, even 40. It's hard to tell where it's going, but it certainly has momentum. Ocz Technology Group Inc. DANG, REDF, VELT, ZLCS - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 04/19/11 - There are still a lot of bullish looking charts out there. We'll take a look at a couple new ones and some old ones that are acting well. E-Commerce China Dangdang Inc. (DANG) had a big day on Tuesday, up 3.42, or 16%, on over 10 million shares, closing at 24.36 and near the high for the day as well. The key to Tuesday's action is that the price-volume surge took out the declining topsline, lateral price resistance, and its 50-period moving average. It was a key day for Dang. At this point we could probably get a follow-through and a move up toward the 28 1 -- 29 zone. India Ltd. (REDF) jumped 1.69 on Tuesday, up 18.4%, and almost record volume at 5.8 million shares. The trend on this stock is long on its way to getting momentum.Short-term target is 12 1 and secondary target is 14 1/2. Velti Plc (VELT) had a big day on Tuesday. Over the last several months it's developed a head-and-shoulder type bottoming pattern, and the last couple weeks it's been in a flag formation. On Tuesday it exploded out of the flag and ran up 2.00, or 14.6%, on 1.226 million shares. That's the heaviest volume in the last few weeks. If it gets through the high on Tuesday at 16, this stock should run to 17 1 and then 19. Those are the trading targets on Velti. Zalicus Inc. QIHU, SODA, TAOM, ZAGG - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 07/13/11 - It was an interesting market on Wednesday. They were up strong in the morning, and rolled over hard in the afternoon. Although they closed up on the day it was still disappointing for the bulls. Yet, a lot of the stocks we follow had a good day. Let's take a look at some of those. Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd. A (QIHU) has been coming back after the IPO. This stock never had a sell off from the 36 range down to the 16 range. It double-bottomed, moved back up, got to resistance and backed off, and then consolidated for a couple days. Wednesday it popped 1.90 to 23.92, or 8.6%, on 1.6 million shares, the biggest volume in about two and a half weeks. It's now above the 50-day, and just had lateral resistance, so it can extend here. Targets are set at 27 1 short-term, and maybe as high as 30 1/2 intermediate-term. SodaStream International Ltd. (SODA) has an awesome pattern running up from about 50 1 to nearly 80 in just a couple weeks. It finally backed off on some profit taking, but reversed on Wednesday, up 5.05 to 71.92, or 7 1/2%, on 1.6 million shares. If it continues and breaks out of the pattern right at the declining topsline it could move even higher. The next target is 80 - 81 short-term, secondary target is in the high 80s. Chart of the Day - CMFO, JAZZ, LIWA, NLST - Harry Boxer, 12/09/09 - - China Marine Food Group Limited (CMFO) is moving steadily, only .03, but the trend is strongly in favor of increasing higher. Strong volume and technicals. The top of the long term channel right now measures around the 11-11 1 area. JAZZ Pharmaceuticals (JAZZ), broke out of a wedge on 1.8 million shares. That's the heaviest volume in 2 months with 1.07 gain or 14.8% for the day. Next target ranges are 9.25 - 10.50 - 11.75. Lithua International (LIWA), spiked up today after dipping early, then ran from 10.43 to 12.20, closing at 12.20, the high for the day going away. Terrific performance. 12.34%. Looks like the top of the channel is around 15 - 151/2 and doable. Netlist (NLST) had a big day today jumping .83 or 15.5% on 11 million shares. The declining flag or channel was broken Tuesday, followed through today, closed above the moving averages. The volume has sequentially moved higher over the last 3 sessions. If it takes out the 8$ level, it could be on its way to 10 - 11. GENE, KEYN, QCOR, REDF - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 04/27/11 - The market just won't quit even though it had reason to and opportunity to after Bernanke's speech on Wednesday. A lot of stocks are still moving. As a matter of fact, quite a few are emerging and breaking out. We'll take a look at both some of the old and new stocks. Genetic Technologies Ltd. (GENE) had a big day Wednesday on positive drug news. It gapped up to 4.92 and went to 6.95. At one point it was up 3.60, which was about 120%. It did sell off in the afternoon on profit taking, closing at 5.46, although 2.87 million traded. That's the heaviest volume it's had going back multi-years, indicating that there's still a possibility that, despite the breakout and pullback, it may edge back up to the 6 1 range. If it takes out the 7.00 area, the next target is 10.00. This is definitely a stock to watch. Keynote Systems Inc. (KEYN), which is a swing trade idea of ours, popped out of a two-week coiling, wedging type pattern with a pickup in volume Wednesday on 900000 shares, or 5%, after a strong earnings report. It did back off and close about 1.39 off its high, which was a bit of a disappointing close. We'll see if it gets any follow-through on Thursday. News Update: Shares of ImmunoGen, Inc. Up After 40% Plunge from Friday Shares of ImmunoGen, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMGN) were up 10% earlier Monday to $5.66, reports Market Watch. Shares of the company dove 40% last Friday after the accelerated approval of the Roche Holding Ltd.-developed breast cancer treatment, T-DM1, was denied by the US Food and Drug Administration. Roche will now have to wait until mid-2012 to re-apply for approval. SmarTrend currently has ImmunoGen in a Downtrend and is monitoring these developments to alert subscribers to any change of trend. Shares of the pharmaceuticals company continue to trade up 11.05% Monday afternoon at $5.73.
AMRN, COOL, MOBI, YOKU - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 04/18/11 - There are still a lot of good looking charts on the long side. The market has been struggling, but we've managed to call out some of the top stocks. Amarin Corporation plc (AMRN), which we've been watching for weeks, broke out of a declining channel last week and flagged for a few days, and then exploded on drug news on Monday, jumping 8.33, or 95.5%, on historical volume of 54.4 million shares. That's huge for this stock, and it closed not far off the top of the range. Based on the action early on, and then the comeback early in the day, I'm expecting this stock to be in the low 20s short-term. Look for a trading target of at least 19-20, maybe as high as 22 1 Majesco Entertainment Co. (COOL) is a very nicely formed, low-priced stock that has moved up from under 1.00 to 3 1 range. It has been consolidating for the last couple weeks. The little flag that has broken out in the last week pulled back Friday, reversed again, moved back up from 3.27 to 3.79, and closed at 3.64 on Monday. Up a little bit, 3.4%, but more importantly, the technicals look great. It looks like this stock is headed for somewhere around the 51/2-3/4 range. Sky-mobi Limited (MOBI) had a nice move on Monday, up from 15 to 17.24, closing at 17.02, up 1.49, or 9.6%. Volume increased again, technicals surged. ImmunoGen Firms More Than 3% on Positive Study Data ImmunoGen (IMGN) said it reported positive initial clinical data with the company's IMGN901 anticancer compound when used as part of a standard combination regimen to treat relapsed multiple myeloma. Encouraging updated data also were reported for the compound when used as monotherapy in patients with extensively pre-treated multiple myeloma.

AVL, HWD, MCP, REE - Stock Charts -- Harry Boxer, 04/07/11 - There are still quite a few stocks to talk about on the upside. The rare-earth group did very well Thursday, so we'll going to highlight some of those in that group, but there are many others here to be watching over the coming days. Avalon Rare Metals Inc. (AVL), which a couple of days ago broke out and pulled back very gently on low volume, popped again on Thursday on 13.6 million shares, up 83 cents, or 9 1 It got up to 9.73, my target was 9.75, but I think this stock is destined to get up toward 11 short-term. Harry Winston Diamond Corporation (HWD) had a little resting day today, but it was still up 16 cents. It still continues to move nicely. After we hit our swing trade we got a day, or so, of pullback, but then it moved from 14 to about 18, reaching my short-term swing trade target. My secondary target is up around 21. http Molycorp, Inc. (MCP) had a big day Thursday, opening at 63 1/2 and running up to 68.79, closing just pennies off its high, up 6.39, or 10%, on 14.2 million shares. At this point, having redrawn the channel, it looks like something in the mid to high 80s, which is my trading target. That's about 20 more points on Molycorp. Rare Element Resources Ltd. (REE) did very well on Thursday, jumping from 13.37 to 15.46, closing at 15.30, up 2.16, or 16.4%, on 17 million shares. That's the biggest volume since the very beginning of January. News Update: FDA Rejects ImmunoGen, Inc's Accelerated Application for Breast Cancer Drug Candidate Marke***ch reports that shares of ImmunoGen, Inc. (NASDAQ:IMGN) dove almost 40% earlier Friday following news that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) refused the accelerated approval application for the company's T-DM1 breast cancer drug candidate. CYTX, INVE, BRCM, NOG - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 04/12/11 - Current observation is that the market is showing deterioration. A lot of technical patterns that were looking great are starting to back off, rollover, break support, so be very careful out there. Maintain stops on long positions. We may have to take some quick losses, move to the sidelines, or enter some of the Boxer Shorts. Today I'll be showing you both longs and shorts. There are still some resilient stocks that are acting well. That's always a good sign. These are the kind of stocks to watch when the market does recover. Long Side Cytori Therapeutics, Inc. (CYTX) ran from 7.55 to 8.25, and closed at 8.11, Tuesday, up 47 cents on a million shares, up 6%. Very strong relative action. The volume Tuesday was the heaviest in a couple weeks. It looks like this one could make it up to the the 9.50 range,our short-term trading target. http Identive Group, Inc. (INVE) was the star of the day on Tuesday. By far this stock had the biggest day of any stock, up 114%, gapping at 2.96, and running up to 5.90 at one point on 34 million shares. That's an incredible volume traded. The daily chart shows that it's been seven years since this stock has been at this level. Resistance up in the 2004 level indicates that this stock could back off from this range, which is around the 6.00 range. You may see some spillover Wednesday morning. ImmunoGen Updates Guidance And Inks Licensing Deal With Novartis "Biotechnology firm ImmunoGen (NASDAQ:IMGN) announced updated guidance for fiscal 2011 and added that it had agreed to a licensing deal with Novartis (NYSE:NVS) and reported encouraging clinical data from the trial. The company said it now sees a net loss for the year ending June 30, 2011 ranging between $60 million and $64 million, and adding that Cash and marketable securities at the end of the fiscal year should be between $106 million and $110 million. In a separate report, ImmunoGen reported an early-stage clinical trial of its lorvotuzumab mertansine anticancer compound, which showed promising early-stage data, with 29% of patients showing a decline of tumor volume and 22% showing no discernible increase in tumor burden. CEVA, ITMN, QIHU, YOKU - Stock Charts - Harry Boxer, 04/14/11 - The market is still showing a lot of resiliency and there are a lot of bullish charts out there. So we're going to go over some of the charts that were looking very well on Thursday. CEVA Inc. (CEVA) had a very nice pop the last couple days on high volume for this stock. It broke to the upside Wednesday and had a very big day. It was up another 1.12 on Thursday and is now at an all-time high. It looks like this stock could get into the mid 30s. My next trading target is at 34-35. http InterMune Inc. (ITMN) had a big day on Thursday, up 4.12, or 8.7%, on 2.7 million shares. The slowly declining, two-week little channel was broken with a big thrust to the upside. That move broke it out of the range it had been in, and it is now in all-time high territory. I'm looking for a move into the mid 50s, and then the high 50s, the 58-60 range potentially. Qihoo 360 Technology Co. Ltd. A (QIHU), a recent IPO, had a big reversal day on Thursday, 7.1 million shares traded, up 3.45, or 13 1 The falling wedge was broken with a thrust, and I'm expecting it to continue to test the snapback high of around 31 1/2. My secondary target is around 35. Inc (YOKU) exploded on Thursday for nearly seven points on the biggest volume in a couple months.
