  • Júnior & Zeca: Gay storyline, Brazilian TV The hugely popular (and controversial) gay storyline from the Brazilian soap opera "America" (2005) is one of my favorite gay love stories ever; even though the TV channel (Rede Globo) didn't dare to air what would have been the first gay (men) kiss on Brazil's daytime TV (that the actors had filmed ,though), the guys showed their passion with lots of intense stares (and good acting): actually, this story is full of "eye ***"... and It depicts gays in a positive way (with happy ending: the guys end up together). Soap operas are an institution in Brazil and have huge ratings: "America" was the most watched of the decade. I hope you enjoy it! Watch it in HQ! The song: "Brighter than sunshine" (Aqualung)

  • "Don't Tie Me Down" by Kyla [Lyrics] KYLA's Private Affair Hugely successful R&B Princess KYLA is set to close 2010 with a bang. Multi-platinum R&B star KYLA returns with her highly-anticipated eight album, PRIVATE AFFAIR under Polyeast Records and showcases her to be a definitive R&B/soul singer to emerge in this decade. This 12-track album shows Kyla's growth as a singer, songwriter, producer, and as a performer. Kyla says "PRIVATE AFFAIR's sound easily reflects where I took my inspiration—back to the basics: old school R&B, jazz and pop." The album's lead-off single, MAHAL KITA (DI MO PANSIN) has already been dominating a massive airplay in its first two weeks. This single follows a vintage style and features Kyla in a unique throwback to the 1950's and 1960's with a music video directed by Treb Monteras. One of the album's stand-out is a star-studded production of the smooth, club-ready, R&B single DON'T TIE ME DOWN, which she produced and co-written with her friends and also OPM RnB's gems: Jay-R, Billy Crawford, Kris Lawarence and Jimmy Muna. "I had an unforgettable experience making this song, aside from doing it with my friends...I also had the chance to work as well as learn with such brilliant artists like them." Kyla added. Another highlight is the song A SONG FOR THE LOVE IN THE SUMMER which was composed by her Dad for her Mom in 1975. "I'm so proud of this track because this song is so important to my parents. It really amazes me how music truly inspires people and connects individuals with so ...
  • RiffTrax w Mike Nelson - Grey's Anatomy This is the hugely successful, boldly innovative show that dares to tell its story in the unlikeliest setting imaginable -- a hospital! But where Grey's Anatomy really ploughs new ground is in its use of attractive young lead actors, and the moody, radio friendly hits of some of today's top artists! And unlike St. Elsewhere, Chicago Hope, ER, The Doctors, Dr. Kildare, General Hospital, Ben Casey, Scrubs, Marcus Welby, MD, Doogie Howser, MD, M*A*S*H, House, LA Doctors, Nip/Tuck, Trapper John, MD, Quincy, ME, Strong Medicine, After MASH and Doc, this one is on Thursdays at 9:00PM on ABC. Navigating the complex emotional core of Grey's Anatomy would be impossible without the help of Bridget Nelson, a writer, performer and MST3K alum, who joins Mike for back to back episodes. Dr.'s orders -- take two shows for maximum results!* *RiffTrax assumes no responsibility for pain and emotional distress caused by that last line.

  • The Doors - The End The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles, California by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. They are considered a controversial and influential band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona. After Morrison's death on July 3, 1971, the remaining members continued as a threesome until disbanding in 1973. Despite a career that barely totaled eight years, The Doors still enjoy a huge cult following as well as status in the mainstream music industry as being hugely influential and original. According to the RIAA, they have sold over 32.5 million albums in the US alone. ________________________________________ This is the end Beautiful friend This is the end My only friend, the end Of our elaborate plans, the end Of everything that stands, the end No safety or surprise, the end Ill never look into your eyes...again Can you picture what will be So limitless and free Desperately in need...of some...strangers hand In sperate land Lost in a roman...wilderness of pain And all the children are insane All the children are insane Waiting for the summer rain, yeah Theres danger on the edge of town Ride the kings highway, baby Weird scenes inside the gold mine Ride the highway west, baby Ride the snake, ride the snake To the lake, the ancient lake, baby The snake is long, seven miles Ride the snake...hes old, and his skin is cold The west is the best The west ...

  • My Sentimental Friends - HERMAN'S HERMITS.(P'Dhede Ciptamas).wmv an English rock band, formed in Manchester in 1963 as Herman & The Hermits. The group's management and producer, Mickie Most (who controlled the band's output), emphasized a simple, non-threatening and clean-cut image, although the band originally played R&B numbers[1]. This helped Herman's Hermits become hugely successful in the mid-1960s but hampered the band's creativity, relegating Noone, Hopwood, Leckenby and Green's original songs to quickly recorded B-sides and album cuts. Their first hit was "I'm Into Something Good" (written by US songwriters Gerry Goffin and Carole King), which reached No. 1 in the UK and No. 13 in the US in 1964. They never topped the British charts again, but had two US No. 1's with "Mrs. Brown, You've Got a Lovely Daughter" (originally sung by Tom Courtenay in a 1963 British TV play) and "I'm Henry the Eighth, I Am" (a British music hall song by Harry Champion dating from 1911). These songs were aimed at a US fan-base, with Peter Noone exaggerating his Manchester accent; the band was not fond of either song and they were never released as singles in Britain. They were on the MGM label, a company which often featured the musical performers they had signed to record deals in films. The Hermits appeared in several MGM movies, including When the Boys Meet the Girls (1965) - and Hold On! (1966). They also starred in the film Mrs. Brown You've Got a Lovely Daughter (1968) and were one of the performers in Pop Gear (1965). Herman's Hermits had three ...

  • Spyderco Paramilitary 2 These are my first impressions of the Spyderco Para 2 (or Para Military 2). Since I have been bitten by this damn spider I have been looking at the Para Military. I already owned a Military and like TheCajunBlaze, I think that it is an awesome knife and great slicer. Having said that it can intimidate just a tad with its size. The Para Military was design to compensate this a bit and when I asked around about it, all the aficionados told me to wait for the improved version: The Para 2. I won't go on forever on it has they are already plenty of great reviews of this knife on YT. But I will say this, the fit and finish is top notch again, the blade is perfect size, not too short not too long and I think this is a slight improvement from the Para 1. The carry option is now at its best and this is the first thing I did when I took it out of the box. I hear here and there people that are pickily always dissatisfied, complaining about the fact that the clip is polished and therefore shinny. I think that it's fine, if you're so tactical that your life depends on it, this is fine and I am sure that Spyderco will come up with an "all black" version at some point soon. For the rest, think about it ... it's just for pretenders and wannabees! I love this knife and I think that i am getting closer to the perfect EDC knife with this one. Size, weight, blade length, materials, feel in hand, it's going to be hard to beat this one. Like all knives that are hugely anticipated they have to ...

  • Objekt - The Goose That Got Away Lean and hungry dubstep minimalism from the hugely promising Objekt label. We know b*b-all about the artists but in true, facelessly underground style, the music does all the talking. For the forward steppers 'The Goose That Got Away' jams on a warped 808 rhythm and ascending chords vibe, sounding something like Pearson Sound sparring with Jam City. Next, 'Tinderbox' turns out a more menacing vibe, building a forcefield of 808 bass to protect crunked-out triplet rolls and a rush of darkside adrenaline synths tapping into a deep reserve of UK rave essence. Support from Peverelist, Appleblim, Ben UFO and Pinch. This is the ***, basically. TIPPED!

  • MALCOLM X SPEECHES Malcolm X on Dr. Martin Luther King Please rate the video. mission-Islam is the only religion on the face of the earth with a universal message and inherent universal brotherhood, Islam did not need a revolution or 'reformation' to remind man that we are all one humanity, our colors are just a variation created by Almighty God. Afterall, if any religion claims to be from God, how could it promote or even ignore racism ? To know more about Islam as a 'way of Life' Start reading today, and for a while switch off your CNN and BBC, you'll know the behind the scene, what intellectual slavery they promote today. A physical slave atleast knows that he is a slave, an intellectual slave, is worse, they dont even realize, they are being enslaved ! Wake Up! Turn to Your Creator, which commands universal brotherhood, in practise, not in paper. http ******************** Malcolm X, realized that he was as equal human being as any white or yellow human on earth. He found that only one religion actually makes it a point to teach this truth and that was Islam. There were no clergy in Islam, no Racism or caste or priesthood. He unfortunately landed up in the fake-islamic organization called 'Nation of Islam' which has nothing to do with the universal religion of Islam,... after travelling the world, Malcolm X realized that Islam has followers from all over the world, from all civilizations colors and languages, and that Islam is not just 'black nationalism' he promtly left the fake organization but ...
  • GBTV #657 (HD) | Motorola Droid Review As you know, the hugely anticipated launch of the Motorola Droid was on Friday. I went to a press event held at a Verizon store to get a hands on with the Droid and some footage to share with you guys. Boring, but I'll take what I can get. Surprise, surprise, Verizon was nice enough to let me hang on to a Droid for two weeks so I'm able to give you a more in-depth review. The Droid runs Android 2.0. Android is an open source mobile operating system, originally developed by, and heavily supported by Google. If you use Google apps like Gmail, Calendar, or Google Voice, having Android is a very good thing. It means those apps are going to run smoothly and you'll get more out of them. More on that in a minute. Verizon has put a lot of effort into their network, and the hope here is that you don't get the amount of dropped calls or inconsistent service a lot of people complain about with AT&T. In my experience with iPhones on AT&T, dropped calls are less of an issue than calls I have to drop because I can't understand the person on the other end of the call or they can't understand me. The Motorola Droid provides vastly better sounding calls than my iPhones. In a perfect world both phones would be available on both networks so I could tell if it's a hardware issue or a network issue. The Motorola Droid has the best screen on any handheld device I've ever seen. It's a 3.7 inch touchscreen with a resolution of 854x480. That's over 400000 pixels, and you can definitely ...
