The Altogether A look at the role of contemporary art as a communicative medium; taking a lateral contraposition to inarticulacy with a tenesmatically grandiloquent fusillade that juxtaposes a Sisyphean sagacity with a personal pomposity leaving no accusation thrown answered. Jimmy McMillan stands out in NY governor debate If you can win a debate on buzz alone, Jimmy McMillan of the Rent Is Too Damn High Party was the undisputed victor in Monday night's New York gubernatorial debate. McMillan appeared alongside six of his competitors, displaying notable facial hair as well as black gloves. Throughout the forum, the candidate rattled off soundbites that are still reverberating Tuesday. "Listen! Someone's ... child's stomach just growled! Did you hear it?" he shouted in his opening statement, before being cut off by the moderators and eliciting laughter from the audience. McMillan has long been a fringe fixture in New York politics, running for mayor of New York City in 2005 and 2009. During the 2005 campaign he ran under the moniker "Prince Jimmy McMillan (aka Papa Smurf)," the Village Voice reported at the time. In 2000 he tried to qualify to run against Hillary Clinton for Senate but was bounced from the ballot, the newspaper said; in 1994, he walked across the state in a bid for the Democratic gubernatorial nomination, but was kicked out of the state convention for heckling former Gov. Mario Cuomo. And in a 1993 run at the New York City mayorship, McMillan scaled a cable on the Brooklyn Bridge, the paper said (police coaxed him down, and he was hospitalized). So Monday night's debate marked McMillan's debut before a mainstream political audience. There's no doubt he made the most of it, with his fiery opening remarks and his striking appearance. He was hard to miss on the crowded seven ...

Grandiloquent farewell speech. cheers lads.

Dr. Doom Is Grandiloquent Ah, quite possibly Marvel's ultimate villain. Let me be clear, I hate this show. The 90's Fantastic Four cartoon sucked. Come to think of it, all of Marvel's 90's cartoons sucked ass. But this show delivered the best version of Dr. Doom outside of the comics. And Simon Templeman rocked it.

Joan the Woman ( Mille - 1917) - music by G. Pauletta The scene of the fire of Giovanna d'Arco reveals the grandiloquent and emphatic style of the director americano.Didascalico and academic in the use of the crowd inveente rejected by the spiritual calm of the protagonist as in the use of effects film us of color (expressly conceived for this film) and of assemblage.

Sylvia Plath reads November Graveyard In this poem, Sylvia talks about the cemetery in Heptonstall. She was buried there in 1963. November Graveyard The scene stands stubborn: skinflint trees Hoard last year's leaves, won't mourn, wear sackcloth, or turn To elegiac dryads, and dour grass Guards the hard-hearted emerald of its grassiness However the grandiloquent mind may scorn Such poverty. No dead men's cries Flower forget-me-nots between the stones Paving this grave ground. Here's honest rot To unpick the heart, pare bone Free of the fictive vein. When one stark skeleton Bulks real, all saint's tongues fall quiet: Flies watch no reserrections in the sun. At the essential landscape stare, stare Till your eyes foist a vision dazzling on the wind: Whatever lost ghosts flare Damned, howling in their shrouds across the moor Rave on the leash of the starving mind Which peoples the bare room, the blank, untenanted air.

BrewDog - The End Of History This 55% beer should be drank in small servings whilst exuding an endearing pseudo vigilance and reverence for Mr Stoat. This is to be enjoyed with a weather eye on the horizon for inflatable alcohol industry ***s, judgemental washed up neo-prohibitionists or any grandiloquent, ostentatious foxes. The End of History: The name derives from the famous work of philosopher Francis Fukuyama, this is to beer what democracy is to history. Fukuyama defined history as the evolution of the political system and traced this through the ages until we got the Western Democratic paradigm. For Fukuyama this was the end point of man's political evolution and consequently the end of history. The beer is the last high abv beer we are going to brew, the end point of our research into how far the can push the boundaries of extreme brewing, the end of beer. At BrewDog we want to push the boundaries and challenge people's perceptions about what beer is and how it can be enjoyed. We ultimately want to show people that there is an alternative to the mainstream, generic beers and make other people as passionate about craft beer as we are. We have pushed the limits of beers in many directions, ultra hoppy low abv beers (such as Nanny State), Islay Barrel Aged Stouts, Ageing IPAs on the Ocean and doing off the wall collaborations. Another area we have explored is extreme ABV brewing. Using clowns, penguins and polar bears we have frozen, hopped and oak aged stronger beers than have ever before been ...

Trenton 016 - JOHNNY WAGNER - Intercity For this 16th release Trenton is going for goal with a mysterious artist from "out of no-where": Johnny Wagner! Some said he use to be the husband of a very famous Hollywood actress; some said he might be a grandiloquent composer or even a cartoon character but... who knows and who cares? His music is fast and furious with disco-minimal elements and a touch of old school; French house bass line... A good ***tail for a good night out!!! Of course we get a re-interpretation of our favorite dance floor masters: 3 channels! A great groove locked down with a very tight production, a bit darker but just fine... And finally a great guest on Trenton and an honor to have a remix from Daniel Stefanik, and what a great one! A typical Stefanik pulse with 808 snares type and bouncing bass! Minimal and funky with mad breaks. Wow...what a record people!

Grandiloquent Diversion Published at Nov. 2008 Grandiloquent Diversion by MrDaMan Virgil R. Hall II (Randy) Loquacious pretensions of an exhibitionist complexion composed in mischievous superciliousness divining epigrammatic deliberation. Colloquial auras gyrate in the minds eye transcribed from the penumbra of souls shadows. A soiree of dancing radiant obscurity, twirling pirouettes in a ballet of desire. Tentative wisps of longing, hungry to fulfill an appetite craving consummation. Flailing in emptiness and hope to wrap minds around each other. Sharing more than the physical, enticing the flame of who and what you are. We are ravenous and unsatisfied in a world of infinite possibilities, seething of empathy and seeking atonement. We are but voyeurs of souls, and peeping Toms of spirits, epigrammatic poets in grandiloquent diversion. Hey wandering soul want some candy?

Cavafy 16. Waiting for Barbarians This is probably one of a handful of poems that people think of when they hear the name Cavafy. I hope I have done it justice. I must repeat my warning that I do not translate his poems, but paraphrase them. So it will be of no use as a crib! Although I hope I have transferred the full flavour of the original Greek in my English version. 16. WAITING FOR BARBARIANS 'Why are we all waiting in the forum?' 'It's said the savage hordes will come today thundering wildly into the city on their diminutive fiery ponies looting and raping girls, boys and women.' 'Why don't the senate act? Why sit dumbly in the silent House awaiting the inevitable?' 'Because the barbarian horsemen are coming. What is there for our useless senate to do? When the vandals arrive they'll take everything over - everything that's left after the looting.' 'Why did the emperor rise so early put on his crown and sit on his gilded throne inside the city gate?' 'The Destroyers will soon be here. The emperor wishes to receive them courteously with an elaborate parchment to hand their warlord granting him the most grandiloquent titles.' 'Why are these solemn civic dignitaries unbecomingly shuffling about the forum in their most costly raiment, bracelets studded with amethysts and rings that flash with emeralds? Why do they carry slender staffs of office elaborately worked with gold and silver?' 'Because your scruffy rough barbarian is much impressed by dazzling baubles.' 'Why do not our plausible rhetoricians ...

Kandy Esala Festival - Final Randoli Perahera wend its way August 24, 2010 Final Randoli Perahera wend its way August 24, 2010 The final Randoli Perahera of the Kandy Esala Festival and the most grandiloquent of the peraheras is being held in full regalia. The Perahera commenced at the auspicious time of 8.30 pm The Dalada Perahera is believed to have begun when the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha was brought to Sri Lanka from India during the 4th Century AD. The Tooth Relic was taken in procession to Sri Lanka by Princess Hemamala & Prince Dantha. The Modern Perahera dates back to the reign of the Kandyan King Kirthi Sri Rajasinghe. During these times, the Tooth Relic was considered private property of the King and the public never got a chance to worship it. However, King Rajasinghe decreed that the Relic be taken in procession for the masses to see and venerate. After the Kandyan Kingdom fell to the British in 1815, the custody of the Relic was handed over to the Maha Sangha. In the absence of the King, a lay custodian called the "Diyawadana Nilame" was appointed to handle routine administrative matters. The Devala Peraheras are being held during the first five days since the launch of the Esala Perahera. On the sixth night, the Kumbal Perahera begins and continues on for five days. It is followed by the Randoli Perahera. The Perahera Festival will draw to a close with the water cutting ceremony. The festival drawing to close on the Nikini Poya is a notable feature. The Perahera which commenced a short while from now wended its way through ...

Liszt St Francis Legend Perlemuter Rec 1939 Some Important Pupils of Alfred Cortot In comparing Cortots recording of this Liszt Legend with that of Perlemuter, Frederick Gaussin writes, "Perlemuter is less grandiloquent and less theatrical; he is in fact more pensive than Cortot , who interprets it as through a Wagnerian prism that distorts the true message of this mystical fresco." (This was Perlemuters first recording-- March, 1939) I find both to be riveting performances.

LINDA DARNELL: Voluptuous Lady in "Dakota Incident" [Please read] In the Western "Dakota Incident" (Republic Pictures/1956), sweet, buxom Linda Darnell plays entertainer Amy Clarke. In the small town of Christian Flats, she is waiting for a stagecoach enroute to Laramie, Wyoming, where her lover absconded with her money. Veteran character actor (and inveterate ogler of women in real life-—according to Harry Carey, Jr.) Ward Bond portrays visiting US Senator Blakely, a grandiloquent man committed over-optimistically to promoting peaceful "white-man/Indian" relations. He also "digs" Amy Clarke, who must constantly rebuff his advances. Reliable Western lead Dale Robertson appears as John Banner, on the lam from a bank heist. Actor John Lund also participates. Filmed on location at California's Red Rock Canyon State Park, "Dakota Incident" follows these principals as they travel by stage through hostile Indian Territory, suffer a wreck, and take apparently hopeless refuge in a dry gulch at the foot of some steep ridges manned by rifle-toting Cheyennes. Director Lewis Foster—who, interestingly, had previously won an Oscar in 1940 for his original story of "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939)—keeps the dramatic tension well-balanced between man-vs.-man, man-vs.-nature, and man-vs.-himself. Gifted cinematographer Ernest Haller—who, also in 1940, shared with Ray Rennahan a Best Color Cinematography Oscar for "Gone with the Wind" (1939)—lent a poetic touch to his "pastel" shots of both cast and landscape, by day and night. "Dakota ...

I only 'know' one of the tapers but want to thank whoever made the effort in the 70's. ANGEL: Punky Meadows, Frank Dimino, Barry Brandt, Greg Guffria, Felix Robinson. Thanks to Richard Galbraith, Mark Stewart and Geoff Smith for the still photographs and Rob Schoorl for his video. Also to Ace Steele and Brian Balrich for helping out. NOTES: Have been told the first part of the video (the long shots) were filmed at the Nassau Coliseum in New York. Possibly March 2, 1979. I did take a small liberty with organizing the flim. The initial scene of the Angel logo on a screen was moved from the start of the third piece of film, which starts around 5:25 with a 'red' scene. IF anyone has any additional info on this footage, please contact me via YouTube. Thanks! INTERVIEW WITH FRANK ROBINSON From the FanZine "Bad Publicity" circa 1995 QUESTION: The question that won't die - what about live video? ANSWER: "If there's any credible live performance video it would be interesting to see and it's be fun to have. We were pre-MTV so anything we did on camera was either shot on film or poorly filmed on video (because video was in its infancy). The quality of those tapes is just archaic - the film stuff was much better. It's something you're just going to have to think about because you're not going to find any lost treasure of live performances of Angel with or without me that is gonna ...

IVAO:"Amelia Earhart Tribute" Estimated companions of IVAO,Flight simulator ......This vid is dedicated to Amelia Earhart. Hero, dreamer,Icon,Valor are words dedicated to her. Amelia Earhart was a widely known international celebrity during her lifetime. Her shyly charismatic appeal, independence, persistence, coolness under pressure, courage and goal-oriented career along with the circumstances of her disappearance at a young age have driven her lasting fame in popular culture. Hundreds of articles and scores of books have been written about her life which is often cited as a motivational tale, especially for girls. Trading on her physical resemblance to Lindbergh, whom the press had dubbed "Lucky Lindy", some newspapers and magazines began referring to Amelia as "Lady Lindy". The United Press was more grandiloquent; to them, Earhart was the reigning "Queen of the Air". In my opinition,a great woman with an excessive passion for the aviation. With great perseverance.
