  • IAMX - Missile I love Chris Corner and everything he touches is absolutely grand, except the two videos for Missile. They were good but lacking. The song weds well with disturbing imagery but I think a different kind of disturbing than what's in the original videos is needed. I found this short horror film called The Morning Ritual ( ) which was very good on its own but when edited together with Missile it, in my opinion, took on a very poignant feeling and became even more so sad and shocking. Missile sort of narrates. I think the song and the film were made for each other. On a side note: That lady was an excellent choice to play the glossectomized housewife. So creepy and sad. If you need a scary lady for something, hire her ( ). No, she's not my granny. I just think she's cool.
  • Oral Cancer Survivor Sings! "My Jesus" At 19, Our son Corey Gilliland was diagnosed with tongue cancer in October of 2008. He underwent 9 hours of surgery to remove half of his tongue and 22 lymph nodes in his neck. Surgeons where able reconstruct his tongue by using skin, muscle, and veins from his left arm. His recovery was very painful. Since the cancer had spread to his lymph nodes, he endured 6 weeks of radiation (33 treatments) and chemotherapy (3 rounds of chemo). The burns in his throat and mouth were very severe (equivalent to third degree burns) and made it painful to even swallow water. Corey lost 85 lbs in less than 4 months. His doctors had said that he would require speech and swallow therapy and would always have slurred speech. To their amazement he has never needed it. He speaks perfectly. Despite all of the obstacles Corey remained determined to beat the odds as he knew he had Jesus to walk with him through this storm. Our family can't begin to praise God enough for the countless answered prayers by our family, friends and especially Pastor Carl, the preacher of Corey's church. I especially want to thank Debi and Connie who are also oral cancer survivors for their prayers, encouragement and knowledge. After you watch this video I encourage you to praise God! for His awesome healing power and grace. Praise Him for the technology that the gifted and talented doctors and surgeons at Moffit Cancer Center used to treat Corey at the guidance of the Almighty Healer and Great Physician! Thanks to ...
