Gaze - A New Home On Shake the Pounce, Vancouver's Gaze continued their sweet variety of all-girl indie pop. Miko Hoffman and Megan Mallett continued to share vocal and guitar duties, while Rose Melberg, also of the Softies, checked in on drums and backing vocals. The songs were recorded by Calvin Johnson in early 1998 at Dub Narcotic Studios. The disc kicks off with the jangly and blissful "So Early to Tell." Throughout their existence, the band covered thoughtful and bittersweet themes in a festive and poppy style. The intertwining vocals charmed twee pop fans with straightforward and unabashedly simple songs like "Tea or Coffee." "Mr. Oh So Suave & Debonaire" is possibly the best sample on this disc of the band's approach to songwriting. The songs often seem to be cathartic, as most artwork often is. On track seven, the band covers Game Theory's "Nine Lives to Rigel Five." Keyboards find their way onto "Sunday Night Waterworks," adding to the melancholy nature of the song's narrative. Gaze's disarming melodies reach an epic level on "A New Home" and "In the Midst," backed by modest instrumentation. The band sets themselves apart by combining melodic pop with a punk mentality.
The Gaze of the Gazelle, Arash Hejazi's memoirs, with a foreword by Paulo Coelho GAZE OF THE GAZELLE captures the scene broadcast on a million screens worldwide of a beautiful young woman gunned down during the street protests following the Elections in Iran in June 2009. The footage of Neda in her dying moments was captured by an amateur photographer on a mobile phone and within hours became the symbol of The Green Movement in Iran a cry for resistance by Iranian youth against the tyranny of the Islamic fundamentalist regime. Standing by Neda's side was a young doctor who desperately tried to staunch the bleeding who later bore witness to the fact that she was shot by a member of the government militia, a Basij. In a matter of days Arash Hejazi was forced to flee the country and this book is his attempt to answer the question: 'How did it come to this?' A child of only eight at the time of the Islamic Revolution, Arash explains what it was like growing up in an atmosphere of fear as a member of what has come to be known as the Burnt Generation. A generation that witnessed the execution and imprisonment of their parents; that was doomed to spend the best years of their lives in the horrors of the Iran--Iraq war. A generation that were not permitted to have any contact with the opposite ***, nor allowed to dance or party. A generation that was taught not to trust anyone even their friends, lest they were government spies. GAZE OF THE GAZELLE gives an account of how Arash's parents' generation's hopes for a free country ...

Lower Your Gaze - An Inspirational Story In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. This is an amazing story of how one young Sahabi (may Allah be pleased with him) felt when he committed a sin unintentionally. Brothers and sisters, let's be honest with ourselves- how often do we actually lower our gaze? Whether it's on the streets, internet, books, magazines, etc. Do we really fear Allah, our Lord in public and in private? Or are we among the hypocrites that lower their gazes when at the Masjid or Islamic gatherings, but not from non-mahrams on the streets or when we're alone browsing through the internet, magazines, etc. Do we realize the fact that Allah hears all that we say and sees all that we do, and that He knows our intentions and what is in our hearts. "Allah knows the fraud of the eyes, and all that the hearts conceal." (Qur'an 40: 19) We should also ask ourselves- how often do we sin and once we recognize sins we've committed, whether they're major or minor sins...how does recognizing our sins affect us? Do we stop upon recognition and feel remorse and turn to Allah seeking forgiveness, or are we too busy and heedless to even recognize the sin let alone repent to Allah. And some of us pay so little attention to sins, that we don't even think they're worth thinking about because we assume they're so 'insignificant'. May Allah give us all the ability to recognize our sins, turn to Him in sincere repentance and may He forgive us, Ameen! This is taken from the lecture 'The Forbidden Love' by ...

Swades: Gîtâ's haughty (mâninî) gaze (1) Swades: Initial meeting of eyes between Gita and Mohan in the bookshop. She looks down haughtily (mâninî) at an intimidated Mohan at their first encounter, followed by a display of her formidable IQ (number-crunching). To be contrasted with her adoring gaze while smiling in the caravan love-scene. How to get the Protectron's Gaze Sorry about these huge gaps between vids, but school has been a real ass and loading me up with work so I didn't have any time. This tutorial shows how to get the Protectron's Gaze, a unique laser pistol which fires a cluster of beams in one shot. This gun has a potential to do a lot of damage because each beam deals about 22-25 (depending on perks you have). This gun is only obtainable one way, and it is through the quest The Superhuman Gambit. You must kill the AntAgonizer and take her suit and give it to The Mechanist, for which he'll then reward you with this laser pistol, saying he built it out of his loyal protectron that died. Not many people seem to know about this gun, so I figured it was a good idea to put it up. It can be repaired using other laser pistols. Rate, comment, sub, leave requests. Gamertag: Mister Noodles
The Gaze - Audio Video - Stefano Tedesco & Riccardo Arena Video Riccardo Arena Music Stefano Tedesco A multi media research project on the theme of "the gaze". An attempt to represent in music and video the gaze, or rather the absence of it. What is it that is incorporated in the passive gaze? ***yzing the human behaviour and its daily and unconscious attitudes we've found it interesting to focus on certain "dead points" of the gaze. Or rather, those particular moments during the day when the gaze is vacant, despite eyes being open. That dead point which is placed between reality and virtuality, body and soul, space and time, ignoring optical reality and projecting mental images. It's like to be and not to be in a place. It's a moment hanging in empty space. From the ***ysis of this state we are inspired to create a multi media performance.

Beyond the Gaze Scopophilia is a little-known, but increasingly common disorder characterized by an abnormal fondness or love for observation or viewing. For the first time, four individuals talk about how it has affected their lives and what is being done to find a cure. BEYOND THE GAZE was produced in 2003 by Bryan Atkinson (director) and Michael Thede (writer), then film students at the University of Western Ontario. It first screened at the university's student film festival, where it won the prize for Best Overall Impression. Subsequently, it was screened at both the Canadian Film Festival and Aspirations Film Festival that same year.

Gaze Of Eternity / Adyashanti "When our self-obsession takes a break, even momentarily, what remains is the gaze of the Eternal. In this captivating talk, Adya invites us first to imagine that there is nothing wrong—with us, with "them," with the world, or with God—and then to see that it's impossible to suffer. When the mind is left alone, it settles, and the timelessness of the One is revealed. 90 minute DVD recorded on September 20, 2006" "If you filter my words through any tradition or '-ism', you will miss altogether what I am saying. THE LIBERATING TRUTH IS NOT STATIC; IT IS ALIVE. It cannot be put into concepts and be understood by the mind. The truth lies beyond all forms of conceptual fundamentalism. What you are is the beyond—awake and present, here and now already. I am simply helping you to realize that." -- Adyashanti http (Adya's free "Teachings" web page with samples of audio, video, and writings) .au (At the bottom of page there are 4 more audio samples of satsangs and interviews with Adyashanti not found anywhere else on the web)

Fallout 3 Protectron's Gaze & side quest "Superhuman Gambit" - Play games for Free. Just to keep you entertained as my viewer subscriber. Have Fun! ----- Unique Laser Pistol and one of the possible endings for this quest. It deals considerably more damage than the normal AEP7 Laser Pistol, and fires a cluster of beams at once like a "laser shotgun", although its spread is much tighter than most shotguns found in the game. The spread remains consistently tight when firing outside of VATS; however, when firing within VATS, a registered "miss" will make the spread much wider than it is outside of VATS (though some beams may still connect with the target, doing slight damage). For this reason, this weapon is often more effectively used outside of VATS. The cluster shot only removes 1 ammo cell per blast, but the spread effect is still there, and accuracy is good at mid-long ranges. It has a slightly slower rate of fire and slightly smaller magazine than the standard Laser Pistol, and may be repaired using standard Laser Pistols. Its name comes from The Mechanist's Protectron assistant. The "Protectron's Gaze" is made of parts from that Protectron.

Then i leave through the door i came in but suddenly I'm right back in the same room, and that's where Scarecrow appears. Daydreaming achievement unlocked.

FAYUM .......gaze into Eternity Portraits of FAYUM ...gaze into Eternity Music:Ross Daly "Bayati" from IRIS FAYUM-Mummy portraits Portraits have been found in all parts of Egypt, but are especially common in the Fayum Basin, particularly from Hawara and Antinoopolis. The portraits covered the faces of bodies that were mummified for burial.Almost all have been detached from the mummies. In termes of artistic tradition, the images clearly derives more from Greco-Roman traditions than Egyptian ones. The population of Fayum area was greatly enhanced by a wave of Greek emigrants during the Ptolemaic period, initially by veterans soldiers who settled in the area. The majority images show a formal portrait of a single figure, facing and looking toward the viewer. from an angle that is usually slightly turned from full face. The figures are presented as busts against a monochrome background wich in some instances is decorated. The individuals are both male and female and range, in age from childhood to old age.

Meshuggah Zone (Sega Megadrive) This is a videogame reinterpretation of Meshuggah's music. The first part contains Automony Lost, followed by Rational Gaze. Instead of doing a simple midi-to-vgm FL Studio hack job, I did more by meticulously changing things around, slightly altering bass/guitar lines, thickening the sound with some delicious high-end synths, increasing general tempo, and more importantly: I've added extra melodies and twiddly bits. The hardest part however, was to get this all sounding relatively nice, and while I still think some parts could have been done better (like the solo), I think it sounds pretty solid. So put your volume on max and bang your head along to this track!! Plugins 'n stuff used: Magical8bit, FM7, FM8, Nexus, NES Soundfont, The Ultimate Megadrive Soundfont, Sonic 2 ripped drum samples, SynthFont program (for the pitch bending solo, FL Studio failed at it) MP3: 8
