After all this, we're finally at the end of the Chapter 1 main module. And what a way to end the ride. First a door that I only have a 20% chance of bypassing, then I have to convince four guys to leave (I'm not doing it for the alignment - I'm doing it to put the Intellect Devourer in the open as soon as I can). And after all that, two fights back-to-back. The Head Gaoler is relatively easy as long as he doesn't target you, but the Intellect Devourer has several problems. One, he has damage reduction 5/+3, so since I can't get a +3 weapon this early as a monk, every attack I do inflicts 5 less points of damage. Second, he can randomly confuse people (which gets converted to stun because it's Easy mode) and turn invisible (and Daelan won't attack him if he's invisible). I gain a level-up during this fight, which gives me an extra Stunning Fist to use. And stunning the Intellect Devourer is easier than stunning the Head Gaoler. All in all, this is the best luck I've been able to record with this fight and still not screw up the Aribeth conversation. With that, we proceed to the end-of-chapter module, get healed fully - and come very close to our run-making glitch.

  • Intellect Devourer : 1 of 2 Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition ver.1.69 fighting solo on the hardest difficulty , "Very Hard" . No mods or cheats are used what so ever ,if you see the green sword slash its just my graphics card rendering the effect wrong, Tommi is only used after an area is cleared and is kept hidden behind a closed door or somewhere safe. This is how I dealt with this tedious creature , that has a ton of hit points . If you want the XP from saving the guards then you have a harder fight ahead of you , because the Head Gaoler will hit you while you are talking to the hypnotized guards . The lower your charisma score the harder it will be to snap them out of their trance . If you don't do this the intellect devourer will use them as hosts to attack you before eventually taking you on by itself . Use about 3 clarity potions so you out last its daze spells , at this time it will not be doing any real damage to you so you need to start attacking it . You may need a bulls strength potion because this creature has aa good damage absorb .You will notice it will start attacking with a red cloud . This is an intelligence drain , it is using it because it ran out of daze spells , it will not hurt fighter types too much but you will need Aribeth's healing or a restoration effect to get rid of it , resting will not work . There is no potion that can protect you from this attack but if he is doing that he is still not damaging you so keep hitting him . If you can knock him down during this phase ...

  • The Dolmen, The Gaoler. The Gaoler was recorded for part of a TV production, at NO6 club King Street Weymouth. The particular song is taken from the "Spirits of the Sea" and represents the classic Dolmen energy pertaining to the album. Folk music whether subtle in ballad or riotous in thrashing tempo always manage to hold a good story and "The Gaoler" as with the entire double album does not fall short. A raw production that has worked very much in the favour of the band by displaying the honesty of their piratical folk style of music. 2011 has witnessed the coming to life of the second album titled the "Pirates Keep". For those who enjoy a bit of ragged pirate banter can enjoy a wicked night surrounded by themed characters brandishing swords and tankards, Tricorn hats and listen to music, stories and get a chance to Arrr the night into history. The Pirate Keep events have turned out to a great success and now has its own flag and is under the watchful eye the pirate Captain Steve Howl, of the Poole Buccaneers.   • rabbit hutch rabbit run Super size rabbit hutch Just a quick , not fab quality video, on the accommodation we have for our two lovely much loved rabbits...I get angry at people who put rabbits in 3-4-5 ft hutchs with NO RUN attached!!!!....Even worse those who only have one rabbit, with no other Rabbit companion, these are social creatures, they HATE being alone, love to have 24 hr a day company, without it can even get depressed !!! So would you if you were shuved in a 2x 4 meter cell with no exercises yard as if you were in solitary confinement with only the Gaoler to talk to as and when you saw him/her when they brought the food!..people who get rabbits and then get cross because of the VET bills...get insurance or give the pet to RSPCA for re homing!!! RSPCA will NOT let anyone have a single rabbit, you either have to have a suitable mate or you have to take two, they will arrange a home visit to make sure...1. it's not just fro the KIDS to lose interest over, 2.you have no other pets that would scare the hell out of it, 3. have a min 6foot hutch (with atch or under run) I'm crap at DIY but managed to cobble this lot together....the FLY net on runs and hutches is vital as if flies lay eggs, and the rabbit picks it up via the poo, when the eggs hatch the maggots eat the bunny alive burrowing into their skin, not a nice way to go is it? use the net and apply "REAR GUARD" (avail at your vet, yes it's not cheap, but cheaper morally and cheaper than the £100 Vet bill after you find the maggots.
