Hand Grip Training Working The Forearm Extensors The forearm extensors are the most neglected muscle group when it comes to grip and forearm training. Most people just focus on the muscles that close the hand, but the forearm extensors (the muscles that open the hand) must be trained as well for maximal development. Just like you wouldn't train your biceps and forget about your triceps, the same idea applies when it comes to your forearms. One of the best forearm extensor exercises for strengthening the grip is Rubber Band Finger Extensions. Just get a thick rubber band and place your fingers and thumb inside the band. Spread your fingers as wide as possible, close them, and repeat. You can also do the same thing with your thumb and each finger individually. This is also an excellent exercise for anyone who suffers from elbow tendonitis and carpal tunnel syndrome because it helps balance out the muscles in the wrists and forearms, which can help relieve the pain and strain on the tendons.

Anatomy of the Arm and Forearm ( Front View ) Been studying anatomy a lot lately, but I've been having a lot of trouble with the forearm... Been looking at tons of different sources trying to figure out how it all fits together, and I think I finally have a somewhat okay, although not perfect, understanding... And so I thought it might be good to share whatever small knowledge I may have gained with everyone incase there's someone like me out there who's really struggling to learn anatomy. This isn't an entertainment video or really for beginners. I would suggest beginners learn how to make the arm out of cylinders and stuff and get the basic proportions down. I still probably messed some stuff up, but hopefully not too much. Of course, this is only one view, and I didn't draw all the movements etc, but really that would be an hour long video... Not much time right now, but maybe in a couple months I'll be able to handle something like that. Anyway, I'm not really liking my drawing... I think the proportions are quite badly done. Gonna try to do better next time. I think the muscles are generally in the right place though. if they're not, let me know cuz I'm still learning. How to Build Forearm Muscle Learn Piano FREE only 1 more day! bit.ly Muscles Worked These exercises are designed to work the upper part of your forearms, called the extensor muscles, and lower parts of your forearms, called the brachioradialis muscles. Upper Forearm To exercise your upper forearm, first kneel on the ground and step one foot up in front of you. Hold a dumbbell in one hand and rest the bottom of the forearm on your raised knee. Your palm should be facing down. Keep the arm in line with your leg. In a small movement, use your wrist to bring the dumbbell up and down. Do not use your upper arm in the movement or bend your elbow. Your movements should be isolating the top muscle on your forearm. Lower Forearm To work the muscles of your lower forearm, stay kneeling on the ground with a foot stepped in front of you. With the dumbbell in your hand, rest the top of your forearm on your knee. The palm should be facing up this time. Keep the arm in line with your leg. Bring the dumbbell up and down in the same way as before by bending your wrist. This is not a bicep curl and should not use any muscles from your upper arm. Make sure the movement isolates the muscle of the lower forearm. Both of these exercises can be performed with a barbell instead of dumbbells. To do this, hold a barbell in both your hands and sit on a bench. Rest the forearms on your knees and complete the isolated wrist movements together. Each of these exercises should be completed about 30 times in four sets.Disclaimer ...

Wrist Roller (using 50 lbs..+ Forearm Flex) Uploaded using FlipShare...I like to use this wrist roller for forearm development..i get quite a wicked pump from rolling this thing up a few times..I use 50 lbs..Or approximately 23 kg's..This seems like a good level of resistance...I like to flex the forearms right afterwards because this intensifies the forearm pump and makes things feel more meaningfull overall..please comment.
