Belgians divided by language barrier - 23 Sep 07 Failure by Belgium's political parties to form a government since elections in June have prompted fears of a split in the tiny European country. Al Jazeera's Tania Page reports from Belgium, where the country is seen as roughly divided between the Dutch-speakers in the North and the mainly Franco-phone population in the south.

Flemish Venetian Masters #BOZAR Venetian and Flemish Masters Bellini, Tiziano, C***etto - Van Eyck, Bouts, Jordaens,... Friday 11.02 - Sunday 08.05.2011 Centre for Fine Arts Following their initial collaboration in 2009, which focused on the collection of the House of Savoy, the museums of Flanders and of northern Italy are once again putting their respective schools of painting into perspective with a stunning selection of pictures. From the 15th to the 18th century, the exhibition presents four centuries of contrast between 15 masterpieces from the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp and some fifty paintings from the Accademia Carrara in Bergamo, one of the finest collections of Venetian paintings in existence. Venetian and Flemish Mastersis organised chronologically in four sections, one for each century; within each section, four major themes are highlighted - the portrait, saints in a natural setting, the sacred and the profane, and panoramic views. In thequattrocento Bellini's portraits influenced Van Eyck, while the northern painter exportedhis naturalism. In thecinquecento the Venetians moved beyond the techniques of the Flemish Primitives. Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese created an explosion of colour and brought new light into the landscapes of Patenier. In theseicento, Rubens, in Italy, had an influence on Tiepolo. Thesettecento, finally, saw a proliferation of styles in a Venice in decline, from C***etto's snapshots to the sarcastic genre paintings of Guardi, which influenced the love of ...

How to make a Flemish String This is how I make my flemish strings. There are several different ways to do the steps that I do. However, those other steps could cost you more time or money. My way is definatly the cheapest. My jig is homeade, and the two spools of B-50 were 5 bucks a peice. So please if you have any questions or comments, feel free and enjoy!

Zeelandic Flemish / Zeeuws Vlaams My late grandma was a speaker of the dialect "Zeelandic Flemish" or in Dutch "Zeeuws Vlaams" . It resembles Flemish that is spoken in Belgium, but Zeelandic Flemish is spoken in the southernmost part of the Dutch province of Zeeland/Zealand named Zeelandic Flanders. Although not understandable for foreigners, it is also very difficult to understand for most Dutchmen.

create a flemish splice anywhere, without a special string jig Make a three-bundle flemish splice - without any cumbersome device. An important detail you ought to know: - cut the strands about twice your bow. Twelve strands you take for rabbits or hares - and fif*** for lions or tigers or bears. Always show that you've got the knacks - shift the ends well and use lots of wax. Here's the trick with a shaft and a nail - fix the strands well or the loop will fail. Two is a pair and three is a crowd - mastering skills makes you happy and proud. Twist the bundles that will form the loop - clockwise each, then backwards the group. Now pair all bundles, the short with the long - the twist being firm and the pull being strong. Get something heavy to twist the threads; - ( this copper tube is crammed with lead ). To keep the bundles parted and straight - wrap them around some improvised weight. Here comes the moment to finish the string - unite the bundles with a right-to-left swing. Take your time to find a good spot - where you will create the bowyer's knot. You need to be neither wizard nor witch - to make the most perfect timber hitch. Your string must never split up into strands - so add an extra knot to unite all the ends. A constrictor knot can be put in a bend - and sometimes it may be made at the end. Begin the serving with a constrictor knot - it holds well and won't shift from the spot. And even if you do not score all A's - you may wrap the yarn with skill and grace. The final detail any archer should know - is how to finish the ...

Flemish nationalist Bart de Wever meets Barroso ahead of Belgian EU Presidency start Bart De Wever, leader of the Flemish nationalist party N-VA, which emerged as one of the most popular parties in Belgium's national elections earlier this month, met with European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso on Wednesday. Belgium from next Wednesday will take over the rotating presidency of the union for the next six months. The role of the presidency is largely to coordinate and charge all the EU ministerial meetings of the union's 27 member states. Bart De Wever, who has been appointed in the official 'Informer' role by the Belgian King to prepare the transition to the new government, reassured President Barroso, explaining that Belgium has seriously prepared the Presidency of the Council, in spite of recent political events. "I reassured President Barroso, that the transition to a new government won't prevent the Belgian Presidency of the European council. I've discussed that Mister Leterme and he ensured me that the Belgian was really well prepared and we won't have any difficulties in the coming months. We would like to form a government before October, it mean before the real works of this Presidency," said De Wever. Also read:

Breeding meat rabbits california / flemish giant / and new zealand crosses A quick vid of Henry ( white Buck ) and Stew ( grey Doe ) on a romantic date. Because I am learning by doing on my microfarm I eventually want to get into larger meat animals like sheep and goats but I have no experience. I figured starting small with chickens and rabbits I could learn as I go without a huge commitment. I will be letting the kids sell as many of these as they can and we will consume the rest. As much as I don't enjoy the day they go in the freezer, I try to look at it like cleaning a fresh fish that I caught. I really want to start eating better and become a little more self sufficient, plus rabbit is delicious.
Hunchback of the Notre Dame- Hellfire (Flemish)subs&trans. I like his voice a lot. It has some nice deepness though the lyrics were not the best ever they were fine and I also translated the Latin lyrics because I was extremely bored. They are parts of a traditional prayer; Confiteor ( I confess). And I also made a mistake with the capital letters, omnibus Sanctis and not Omnibus sanctis. Dunno why I did that. *****************DISCLAIMER*** *************** I don't hold any copyrights of the clips and songs that I use in my videos. Do you see the stars from the ISS the same way we see them from Earth? (Flemish) Frank De Winne is answering a question on the ISS submitted by Daniëlle from Belgium: - In relation to Einstein's theory of relativity, I wonder how much younger you will be when you return to Earth? - Do you have windows in the Space Station through which you can for instance see Earth and do you see the stars from the ISS the same way as we see them from Earth or do you see them closer? - Still another question, the temperature in space, is it very cold or is it warm out there?
