Hartman ***og Flanger - Clip / Demo [Boutique Electric Mistress Clone] This is a little clip I did of the Hartman ***og Flanger in my rig. This is a boutique Electric Mistress clone, with modern upgrades like: true bypass, 9V operation, flange/filter switch (like on the Deluxe Electric Mistress, which I had before this one), noise reduction and an overall better sound! Theo did an excellent job on this creation and he kept it very true to the original legendary tone. Besides that, the customer service of Hartman is one of the best I've EVER encountered! In this clip I used it how I use it in my rig. I'm not a huge fan of dry modulation, but I love to mix it with delays and/-or reverb. In this clip I used the Keeley C4 compressor, Deluxe Memory Man and a bit of Room Reverb from the G-System to fill up the sound the way I like it. The (Deluxe) Electric Mistress has always been THE perfect companion to the Deluxe Memory Man, it's like the two were made to combine. It's of course no surprise that the Hartman is just as fond of the DMM as the original EM and DEM were! I also used a custom made modulated reverb patch that I made with Ableton Live's Reverb. It doesn't get in the way and you won't hear it overpowering things, but if you really want to hear, you can hear it clearly in the last 5 seconds of the clip. (it was just mixed in lightly, 9%) Throughout the demo I also switched back and forth between finger picking and using a pick to demonstrate the difference in tone. Hartman ***og Flanger - Clips / Demo.02 [Boutique Electric Mistress Clone] This is the second clip I did for the Hartman ***og Flanger. See the first vid here: - - In the first part I used the Flanger with a Keeley C4 Compressor and the DMM + a little reverb of the G-System. - In the 2nd part I use the Keeley C4 Compressor with a little G-System reverb and I dial the Color knob 25% at a time to increase the color so you can hear the difference. I, personally, like to keep it low. - The 3rd bit is done with the Keeley C4 Compressor and the DMM, I used a little more Color here and turned the Depth up as well. - The 4rth and last part is used with the Keeley C4 Compressor and a little slapback delay from the Damage Controle Time. Flanger Arion SFL-1 Hi! I searched for some months the right flanger for my needs. I tried the Line 6 Liqua Flange (too complex), the Boss BF2 and the Ibanez FL9. The sound was good but I didn't like the metallic noise coming from them. I gave a chance to this Arion (known for the great chorus SCH-1) and it seems to be exactly what I was looking for! No metallic sound, no volume drop (the reason I didn't go for an Eletric Mistress + the place it takes), beautiful sound at low rate settings but also fast rate ones. It's a pity that it's made of plastic but perfection is not of this world ;) and for the price... Enjoy!

Ibanez FL9 Flanger A quick demo of the Ibanez FL-9 Flanger reissue guitar effects pedal. A Flanger gets its signature sound by combining the original signal with a modulated, or delayed copy. Doing this creates distinct "whooshing" sounds as the waveforms interact with one another, where the "comb filter" effect starts to become apparent. For guitar, a flanger can be used to provide a bit of dimension, or to articulate harmonics. This is especially true when distortion is involved. This particular pedal has a very sweet and full sound to it, which is very unlike the Boss pedals that I've used before. I'm considering kicking the chorus pedal off of my board for this guy. Little.
