Abnormal 2nd cleavage of human embryo - aneuploidy confirmed after PGS More: Aneuploidy prediction - mosaic embryo. One of the blastomeres of 2cc embryo cleaved to three cells forming 5cc stage after the 2nd embryonic cleavage. Resulting embryo was aneuploid in half of the cells. An exact timing and time lapse can reveal this abnormality. Static daily observation is unable to identify it. View more:

Fusion of the blastomeres during early phases of human embryo development .avi Aneuploidy prediction by noninvasive embryo imaging. The cleaved cells of early human embryo can fuse to form tetraploid cells frequently observed in trophoblast

Rotation of the blastomeres at 4cells human embryo.avi More: Euploidy prediction - normal cleavage lines producing the embryo which resulted in vital pregnancy. Moreover, the evaluation of the embryo according to the cell orientation (tetrahedral versus non-tetrahedral) must be considered as a time dependent process

做試管嬰兒容易生男生嗎? Influence of embryo *** on development to the blastocyst stage and euploidy Presented at the 63rd Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, Washington, DC, October 13--17, 2007. Jennifer L. Eaton, MDab, Michele R. Hacker, Sc.D., MSPHab, C. Brent Barrett, Ph.Dc, Kim L. Thornton, MDabc,Alan S. Penzias, MDabc Received 26 January 2010; received in revised form 16 June 2010; accepted 16 June 2010. published online 05 August 2010. Corrected Proof Objective To compare the prevalence of blastocyst development and euploidy in XX versus XY embryos. Design Retrospective cohort study. Setting Boston IVF, a large university-affiliated reproductive medicine practice. Patient(s) All patients who underwent their first preimplantation genetic screening cycle between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2007. Intervention(s) In vitro fertilization and preimplantation genetic screening. Main Outcome Measure(s) Proportion of embryos that developed to the blastocyst stage by day 5 and prevalence of euploidy for chromosomes 8, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22 in XX versus XY embryos. Result(s) Seven hundred fifty-eight embryos from 138 cycles in 138 patients were ***yzed. Three hundred sixty-six (48%) were XX, and 392 (52%) were XY. XX and XY embryos were equally likely to develop to the blastocyst stage by day 5 and were equally likely to be euploid for the ***yzed chromosomes. Conclusion(s)

Biopsy of human embryo for preimplantation genetic diagnosis.mpg Removal of two blastomeres from 3-days old human embryo which are used for detection of genetic abnormalities

Human embryo -abnormal 1st cleavage and fusion of the resulting cells.avi More: Aneuploidy prediction - mosaic embryo consisting of eu- and aneuploid cells. The 1st abnormal cleavage resulted into 3cell embryo but immediate fusion of the 2 cells formed seemingly normal 2cell stage. In subsequent 2nd cleavage the fused cell divided again abnormaly. The second cell of two cell stage embryo cleaved evenly and might give a line of euploid cell

Multi PN zygote resulted in an euploid embryo.avi More: Two pronuclei and two small nuclei are visible until syngamy in the cytoplasm. 2cell stage seem to be mononucleated and after PGS the embryo was evaluated as euploid. Correction of multinucleation can be a normal "rescue" system of early embryos. And/or, PGScreening for aneuplidies need not reveal all of the malsegregations.
