Two Subs: Logitech z-5500 and Edifier s730 Bass Test Logitech z-5500 plays together with the Edifier s730 subwoofer at almost max volume. I just noticed that the z-5500 driver cannot play loud 40-50hz because the impedance goes up to 40ohms when it plays these frequencies,and the power goes down to 20w. And yes it got overheated and started smelling like burning wires exactly like the z-680 subwoofer,so i turned it down before the coil catch fire. Is this a new kind of joke i don't know about,or the overheated woofer drivers is the nature of the Logitech subwoofers? Song: Bass Mekanik by Bass Mekanik.

This is the first time my microphone distorts the sound,because i used to test weak Crapwoofers with low volume... Also sorry about the crappy image quality,it's afternoon,and the camera is set to recording nice videos in the dark. :P Actually,the cone moves a lot more than you can see in the video,but the camera doing whatever it wants. Edifier Vs Logitech z-5500 - The Test We All Wanted To See Just a test comparing the Edifier Signature (s530,s550,s730,s750) with the Logitech z-5500. Not much to say,not much to show,mostly because in the video you won't hear any difference of the how both speakers sounds like. There is a little difference,the Edifier speakers are have more alive frequency response,but you can hear it only if you have good speakers (not Logitech),or good headphones. In this test i aimed the mid-range frequency response,and the bass. I noticed that the Logitech speakers cannot produce any midrange frequency with the ease the Edifier speakers do. The Logitech amplifier is well made,but not calibrated for this kind of speakers,because for example it sends signal below 100hz to the satellites,but it's bad because the plastic cabinet does not tune to these frequencies,and the result is bad. The Edifier amplifier can send signal down to about 130-150hz to the speakers (150hz-22khz official specs),but the wooden cabinet plus the two way crossover,makes it sound as good as it designed to be. However i found the Edifier speakers sounding a little bit confusing when the mid and low range frequencies are adjusted from the control pod,and the speakers are playing low frequencies. Also when the volume is nearly max,the THD level is the same as the Logitech speakers,but the Midbass driver (130-150hz to 10-12khz) is producing a little bit of intermodulation distortion,and the tweeter sounds sharp. Nice Bass With Edifier s730 (2.0) and Denon AVR-3802 This is a bass test of the two Edifier s730 with one 3.5" Woofer each driven by the Denon AVR-3802. They sound weird in the most parts because i pushed them a little bit just to record excursion. I can tell that i'm not using subwoofer because those speakers can fill my room with a satisfying amount of bass.
