Installing Irrigation Valve Drains Okay, it’s time to put our drains in. Each year, most people want to put some sort of winterizing drain so that they don’t leave their system water filled over the winter. In this particular case, we’re going to put in some automatic drain. There’s pluses and negativities to automatic drains versus manual drains, but we’re going to let ours drain automatically. So, I’m going to cut each valve after the valve. I’m going to cut the line and I’m going to put in a 1 inch to a inch, female T. Of course, just like any other PVC fitting, you just want to clean your pipe real good and then glue it well. So that’sa 1 inch to a inch female, because that is what our automatic drains fit into. You can get these at any Lowe’s or irrigation supply places, just a pressure drain that close off when the system is pressurized and they release when the system releases its pressure and they allow the system to drain. So you just stick one of these in. You don’t want to put them facing up. You generally want to put them in either facing down or sideways so that the water will be able to drain according to gravity. You also want to put them in the lowest part of the system. It just so happens that the lowest part of our system is in the valve box. The valve box is low. So now we’re going to go ahead and install our automatic drain valves. You can replace this with a manual valve. You can do it the same way ...

The IPGC Drainage Pipe See our main website at: . Featured in this video is a standard french drain with a 2-holed perforated pipe section (on the left), the IPGC Trench Drain (center), and the IPGC French Drain (on the right). The following items should be noted. 1) The water level in the standard french drain tank is above the 2-holed perforated pipe by approximately 1-inch. 2) The water level in the IPGC French Drain tank is just barely above the flow line of the IPGC pipe. 3) The water in the center tank (IPGC Trench Drain) enters the pipe via the ground surface (which is astroturf for this demonstration). Two very important points are being made in this video. 1) The IPGC French Drain clearly outperforms the standard french drain with the 2-holed perforated pipe. Essentially, this is because the IPGC French Drain allows more water to enter and leave the pipe, which results in less of a ponded condition above the pipe. This is a key factor in any particular area where drainage is a point of concern. 2) The IPGC Trench Drain captures water at the surface. Gravel is shown in the center tank for purposes of display only and need not be installed. Thus, the IPGC Trench Drain can be installed for less cost than either french drain and performs more effectively than either french drain because direct access to the pipe is provided via the open surface slits. Both the IPGC Trench Drain and French Drain provide the needed open surface area to ensure that the installed IPGC pipe ...

The catheter is retained in the bladder by an inflated balloon. The drainage of urine is totally dependent on gravity. Ensure that the catheter and drainage tube are connected and that there is sufficient slack in the tube, between the body and thigh, to allow the patient to move the thigh without pulling on the catheter. The drainage tube should be attached to the bottom bed sheet by a fabric tie around the tubes and a safety pin, or by a clip if one is provided. Pea Rock Drainage System, cost $$ less then field tile Less cost then tile. (1) yard of pea rock will create a 4" drainage hole 300 foot long. Approximant cost of pea rock per linear foot is 8 cents. Approximant cost of field tile per linear foot is 33 cents. Advantages: No openings for a small animal to crawled up and die in causing blockage. Some small animals have even been known to chew there way thru the tile creating a hole that allows dirt to fill in and plug the tile. My Dad's invention uses an old John Deere "R" tractor that places a 4" dia. hole filled with pea rock in the ground to provide natural drainage to a ditch or creak. Operations: The pea rock drainage machine is set to depth at the ditch or creak filled with pea rock then pulled slowly at the proper drainage grade to your location where drainage is needed. A 4 diameter piece of PVC pipe approximately 2 foot long is then driven into the hole at the ditch or creak where the machine started. This PVC is then capped and drilled with small drainage holes to allow the water to flow out but not the pea rock. LOOKING FOR A DEVELOPER

Various factors can cause bronchitis and asthma -- viral infections, allergic reactions, etc. Massage therapy and bronchial drainage can play an important role in treatment and management of the aforementioned disorders. We can assume that in cases of bronchitis & bronchial asthma the activities of the sympathetic nervous system are diminished. Massage therapy has the capability to depress or stimulate the divisions of the autonomic nervous system and can be an invaluable tool in depressing the parasympathetic activities, thereby balancing the activities of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. All of the body's proprioreceptors have various levels of adaptation (their capability to produce action potentials). By deforming these receptors; touch receptors, pressure receptors, etc; we stimulate the creation of electric impulses. Massive stimulation of receptors allows us to affect the activities of different subdivisions of autonomic nervous system according to our needs. Before treatment it is very important to perform the dermographism test to determine an imbalance between the ...

Acid Mine Drainage in Dry Fork On or around March 7, 2007, an abandoned mine had a blow out and now acid mine drainage is gushing into Little Dry Fork, just west of Whitesburg, KY. The orange water, increased water flow, and the changed chemical makeup of the water has decimated aquatic life in the creek. The acid mine drainage flows into Dry Fork and then into the North Fork of the Kentucky River. The plume of cloudy orange runoff extends at least one mile downstream from the mouth of Dry Fork. Appalshop created this piece as a collaboration with WMMT's Community Correspondents Corps (CCC) and Appalshop Films.
