  • 1 Watt Tesla Coil with Pancake Hello. This is a bedini self oscillating circuit that is triggering an ignition coil off the collector of the transistor. The output goes into a Tesla pancake coil that i wound myself using foil tape and drywall tape layered together and then double wound in a Tesla pancake configuration with the inside running back out to the second winding on the outside and back through again to the middle then out to the first spark gap and finishing back at the (neg) of the ignition coil. Winding the coil in this configuration makes it "self inducing" such that it can act as both the resonating coil and capacitive storage tank at the same time. That resonance and capacitance work in pure synchronicity in this arrangement and makes for a disruptive discharge at the spark gap regardless of power input. Additionally there is another twisted bifilar pair of 22 gauge magnet wound up with in the inner diameter of the pancake coil separated by more dry wall tape all the way into the middle. The outer pancake foil winding and the inner twisted pair are not directly coupled together at any point, but are only connected through induction each time the pancake coil is disruptively discharged. In that way this inner winding will produce its own larger disruptive discharge while carrying its current through the bottom primary coil of the tesla air core transformer. The 2 inner winding twisted pair are also tied together in a tesla pancake (middle back to outside) arrangement. The secondary top ...

  • Pure Storage Non-Disruptive Upgrade (NDU) Demo A critical core feature of any storage platform is being able to non-disruptively upgrade (NDU) the storage array for maintenance tasks, without causing disruption to connected hosts or running applications on the array. NDUs have been industry-standard in the disk-based array world for years, but unfortunately most newer all-flash storage appliances or arrays simply don't support them, meaning application outage windows for each upgrade. The Pure Storage FlashArray supports online non-disruptive upgrades, and we demonstrate the process in this video. While simulating a production database generating over 1M transactions per minute, we'll perform a full firmware upgrade on the FlashArray, showing: - the new software being installed on one controller - re-booting that controller (all IO is handled by the other controller during this event) - the new software being installed on the other controller - IO failing-over and being handled by the other controller during this event The entire process takes only a few minutes, and there is only a short (15 second) blip in application performance during the upgrade, during which time no IO timeouts or retries occur. It should be noted that this process is CLI-driven today, but will be completely automated in the GUI in future Pure Storage releases, and sections of this video have been sped-up to avoid waiting for the controller re-boots.

  • Update 38 - Quest for free energy - Tesla's Disruptive Discharge Coil & Radiant Energy Production Update 38 - Quest for free energy - Tesla's Disruptive Discharge Coil & Radiant Energy Production In this video I continue my reseach into Tesla's discovery of radiant shock waves. Tesla apparently searched the literature for references to the characteristics of the radiant shock waves (Reference - The free energy secrets of cold electricity page 19). He found two references. (1). Joseph Henry & (2) Elihu Thomson. Elihu Thomson & Edwin J Houston (Reference - On a new connection for the induction coil) used a rumkorph coil built by Edward S Ritchie (See History of Induction - the american claim to the induction coil page 46) to create the same effects as Tesla's radiant energy. This coil contained a secondary with mutiple flat spirals wound equally and oppositely in two sections. The primary was also split into two sections and wound equally & oppositely. This coil configuration reminded me of Tesla's disruptive discharge coil in his 1892 lecture on alternate currents. In the lecture notes he doesn't specifically say that the secondary coil is a flat spiral but i will assume that it is. The zinc on the outside of box of the disruptive discharge coil I believe is there to create stationary waves as per Hertz's book page 125 "Electric Waves" (Tesla duplicated Hertz''s work so this seems reasonable to conclude this connection). The oil in the box amplifies the effects also. It appears that Tesla has merged 3 concepts into one device - the disruptive discharge coil, the oil ...
