Tesla apparently searched the literature for references to the characteristics of the radiant shock waves (Reference - The free energy secrets of cold electricity page 19). He found two references. (1). Joseph Henry & (2) Elihu Thomson. Elihu Thomson & Edwin J Houston (Reference - On a new connection for the induction coil) used a rumkorph coil built by Edward S Ritchie (See History of Induction - the american claim to the induction coil page 46) to create the same effects as Tesla's radiant energy. This coil contained a secondary with mutiple flat spirals wound equally and oppositely in two sections. The primary was also split into two sections and wound equally & oppositely. This coil configuration reminded me of Tesla's disruptive discharge coil in his 1892 lecture on alternate currents. In the lecture notes he doesn't specifically say that the secondary coil is a flat spiral but i will assume that it is.
