ABA/Discrete Trial Training Instructional Video: When we started ABA/DTI with our son, I had no idea what it was or how to do it. I thought I'd make this to help other families trying to find ways to help teach their children. Please enjoy watching my son learn. It was amazing to me to see how fast he started retaining information once we began ABA/DTI with him! If you would like a DVD copy of this video please let me know and I can mail you one.

Quick mix in Cubase 4 with Ez Drummer- http:// Please watch in high quality! Hi guys! This is a sketch of new tune recorded in a few minutes. A friend asked for a video to show how I mix. This is just a quick mix in Cubase 4 with Ez Drummer and Overloud TH1. To get the rough idea of the song I'm clipping the master. But before the final mix and export I'm exporting the mix without the FX on the master! The highest pick on the master is around -6, -7 dB. I'm using some great freeware plugins: NickCrow Tube Driver www.the29 then Gclip clipper and Voxengo Span. On the Guitar BUS I'm using Tls-3127 Compressor-Limiter. Also the included Cubase 4 EQ and Limiter. The Reverb is the donationware Ambience free Reverb! Please visit my web site and check out my new album "There is something else" Thank you!!! ASUS Immensity concept mobo with discrete GPU and Hydra spotted COMPUTEX Taipei 2010 - During an ASUS press event earlier today we ran into a brand new and unseen concept motherboard from the Taiwanese company called the Immensity. It is an Intel X58 Express based ROG board for the latest Socket 1366 processors and what's real interesting about is that it comes with not only a Lucid Hydra processing chip onboard, but also a discrete GPU. And we aren't talking any standard Intel IGP, but a mid-range GPU from either NVIDIA or AMD, I don't think the actual choice has been made at this stage of the game, remembering what we saw was a very early concept mockup. I also doubt it is even working right now. Distributed by Tubemogul.

Jerrold Marsden on Discrete Mechanics and Optimal Control Nokia Distinguished Lecture: Jerrold Marsden on Discrete Mechanics and Optimal Control Engineering and Control & Dynamical Systems California Institute of Technology Abstract: We and Nature try to optimize things all the time; find the shortest route to the grocery store, find the most efficient way to throw a discus, cats turning themselves over efficiently, etc. Optimal control is about finding control forces to perform optimal ways of carrying out a task. Many such systems are mechanical and special techniques for computing optimal controls in mechanics will be presented. These techniques are based on recent progress in discrete mechanics. The techniques will be illustrated by systems such as falling cats, reorienting a network of satellites, optimal space mission design, systems with constraints (such as a satellite with momentum wheels), helicopter dynamics, and efficient 2D and 3D robotic walkers. Bio: Jerrold Marsden is a professor of Control and Dynamical Systems at Caltech. He has done extensive research in the area of geometric mechanics, with applications to rigid body systems, fluid mechanics, elasticity theory, plasma physics, as well as to general field theory. His work in dynamical systems and control theory emphasizes how it relates to mechanical systems and systems with symmetry. He is one of the original founders in the early 1970's of reduction theory for mechanical systems with symmetry, which remains an active and much studied area of research today ...
