Geotech 'Biogas Check' anaerobic digester (AD) biogas ***yser The 'Biogas Check' from Geotech ( ) Tel +44 (0)1926 338111 The Geotech 'Biogas Check' Gas ***yser has been upgraded in response to user requests for: "Data storage and download with improved H2S ***ysis." In response, Geotech upgraded its Biogas Check after its first three years' successful in-field use. The Geotech 'Biogas Check' is really easy to use and ***yse methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2), oxygen (O2) and now, with a new internal hydrogen sulphide ***ysis cell, H2S from 0-10000 parts per million (ppm). It has data storage and now data download to a PC. The new features for the rapidly growing and developing anaerobic digestion (AD) biogas market, include an internal H2S gas ***ysis cell to replace an external plug-in pod and an improved H2S measurement range because of the high level of H2S some AD operators are experiencing. Data storage and download functions are now standard with optional download software. New highlights from gas-***ysis specialist manufacturer, Geotech for the Biogas Check, include: - · Higher H2S range up to 10000ppm from 5000ppm now an internal gas ***ysis cell · Download of stored data for importing gas ***ysis data into a spreadsheet · Geotech's new optional GAMBIO download software · Free data download upgrade to all existing Biogas Check units at time of back-to-factory service and calibration. · All are available now on this ATEX certified biogas ***yser. Compact digester for producing biogas from food waste The Appropriate Rural Technology Institute (ARTI) in Pune has developed a biogas plant which uses food waste rather than manure as feedstock and supplies biogas for cooking. The plant is sufficiently compact to be used by urban households, and over 700 are currently in use. Pune is a relatively affluent city in south India, and many people use liquid petroleum gas (LPG) or kerosene for cooking. Waste food is often discarded at the side of the road, as in many cities, attracting stray dogs, flies and rats and creating a public health hazard. The ARTI compact biogas plant is made from two standard high-density polyethylene (HDPE) water tanks: the larger tank acts as the digester and the smaller one is inverted and placed into it to serve as a gas-holder. The plant safely digests kitchen waste, food waste or waste flour from mills, thus reducing the problem of waste disposal. A 1000 litre plant produces sufficient biogas to at least halve the use of LPG or kerosene for cooking in a household, as well as a small amount of liquid effluent which can be used as fertiliser. ARTI has developed the technology, field tested it, and managed the supply of about 700 biogas plants in Maharashtra. Around 100 plants are now being installed every month. www.arti-

Floating Drum Anaerobic Digester This is an anaerobic floating drum digester. I built it using a 55 gallon drum and a 30 gallon drum and a few pipe fittings. I used a ball valve, and some connecting pieces. This is a very simple design, and there can be multiple digesters running in parallel. If you have any questions please feel free to ask me.

Methane Digesters - San Jose Santa Clara Water Pollution Treatment Plant tour -4 Digesters The pollutants and solid material removed during all three treatment steps are separated from the liquid flows in digester tanks. It takes 25 to 30 days for anaerobic bacteria to stabilize unwanted material and reduce the pathogens and other disease-causing organisms in the solids. Anaerobic bacteria operate best without oxygen and at about 98 degrees. Digesters produce methane gas, which meets 35 percent of the Plant's energy needs.

DIY Backyard Pet Waste Digester A project of Madison WI Due to a lack of oxygen in landfills, the decomposition of food scraps and pet waste produce methane, a greenhouse gas. That's why it is illegal to put pet waste in the trash. ------------ Digesters are the easiest way to compost any type of kitchen scraps, including meat, breads, dairy, and processed foods. Since these food scraps often attract rodents, the enclosed, half-buried digester acts as a deterrent. Digesters can also be used to compost pet waste, and they work very well in small backyards when the goal of composting is waste diversion as opposed to soil building. The same digester can be used for both kitchen scraps and pet waste. Biobags used to collect pet waste can be added to the digester. Wait at least 2 years before harvesting a digester used for pet waste, and never put this finished compost near edible crops. If you are composting pet waste, be sure to locate the digester far from your veggie garden and fruit bearing trees or plants so the leachate doesn't reach your food crops. ------------ Thanks to Lucky, Auggie Guinn and family, Bibith, and Bad Dog Frida (). Special thanks to Brent Goodman for his music.

Dairy - Methane Digester The college's anaerobic methane digester offsets the electrical costs of the dairy operation and reduces greenhouse gas emissions at the complex. Manure from the free-stall barn is collected using alley scrapers and deposited in the methane digester. The manure is broken down through a biological process which produces methane gas. The methane gas is then used to power a diesel engine and generator to produce electricity. Students from the dairy, renewable energy technology, and renewable resources technology programs use this facility as part of their studies.

FFXI - Depths Digester (Abyssea - Konschtat T2 VNM) - WHM Solo ~Please watch in 720p!~ This time, I take on Depths Digester, a T2 VNM in the Abyssea - Konschtat zone. I usually found him wandering between Conflux #04 and #05, though sometimes further west of that too. Depths Digester is a Gorger mob from the Promyvion zones, and thus can use a few TP moves from that family. Notably, it uses Promyvion Barrier (defense boost) and Stygian Flatus (AoE Paralyze). The Wiki mentions this NM can use Vanity Drive, Quadratic Continuum, and Spirit Absorption; but I have to see any of those three TP moves used during my fights with Depths Digester. Additionally, Depths Digester gains an en- effect based on the spell it used previously. IE, if it uses Firaga II, it will gain en-fire. If it uses Silencera, it gains en-silence. It seems the en-elemental damage becomes more potent as the fight goes on, but I could be wrong in this regard. Max meritted Shellra V will help mitigate spell and en- damage and keeping up Barsilencra and Baraera will keep Silence from sticking too long. Keeping Divine Caress up full time and using it to boost your Paralyze resistance against it's TP move is also useful as well. I have resisted that TP move more than once with Divine Caress' active after a Paralyna proc (admittedly, I don't use this technique for this fight, but I did use it for future fights against this mob). I personally used /DNC for this for faster killing speeds due to Haste Samba, but /NIN can be used to help protect you from huge spike hits from ...

Animation of a simple telescoping biogas digester For this simple animation describing just how simple it is to build your own biogas digester I downloaded Google Sketchup 7 and then used Google 3D Warehouse to download a model of a digester by roilbilad130 called "Biogas untuk limbah dapur" which is Indonesian for "Biogas for Kitchen Garbage". I changed the food inlet pipe and the fertilizer output pipe to reflect the way they work in the ARTI India systems we have been building in Cairo and Germany and set different sequence animation key frames in Sketchup and did screen capture in Snap Z Pro. Building real digester is about as easy as building a digital one in sketchup -- it really is just two plastic barrels, one inverted inside the other, with three pipes -- one to get the food in, one to take the liquid fertilizer out and one at the top to deliver the gas to your cookstove or generator. 1000 liter tanks should get you about 2 hours of cooking gas a day if you live in a warm climate. As shown, we intend to use psychrophilic bacteria at the bottom to increase cold weather production. The process is very simple -- on the first day you put in about 40 kg of animal manure (horse or cow work fastest, but anything will work) and fill up the container with water. Then place the gas collector on top with the valve open so it sinks down into the bottom container, driving out the air. Then close the valve. After about 3 weeks the gas being created inside the container will be flammable. From that point on you start adding ...
