Let's Minecraft - Amnesia: The Dark Descent The first couple rooms in Amnesia: The Dark Descent. Wondering how long this took me? I didn't time it, but I believe about 20 hours. If I didn't have to mine all that ***, the time would've been lessened considerably. More than halved, probably. I had to level half a hill, mine copious amounts of cobblestone, cut down dozens of trees, and punch many a sheep and pick many a rose to complete this. I did it that way to squeeze some more fun outta the game. Building whatever you please is fun and all, but I got tired of building skyscrapers and tunnels... and I have no personal creativity of my own. =D Yes, this is the first thing I've ever tried to replicate. I'm currently fooling around with the next few rooms in Amnesia - learning as I go. Trial by fire as they say. Here's a couple of frequent questions/suggestions I've gotten: ---"Use redstone torches instead. It's darker." Yes, but I felt actual torches just LOOKED better. ---"The redstone path you made to the door can go through walls/bricks." I know that and I tried. For whatever reason it made the door start open, and close when activated. It probably could be fixed, but I didn't bother spending any more time to figure out how. ---"Hardened stone or iron blocks would work as pillars." That's a great suggestion - I'll try to incorporate it in the next area. ---"Use a texture pack." I'll have to admit, I've never done that... and I guess I'll look into that more, but frankly I kinda like the idea of foolin' around ...

Kamelot lyrics Descent of the Archangel [MEPHISTO:] Speak my friend You look surprised I thought you knew I'd come disguised On angel wings...in white I can make Your dreams come true What a couple... Me and you On journey through the night I will show you everything so vividly You can't deny me Bathed in moonlight I'm proclaimed by angels cry Think well Do take your time Because your soul Will be mine the day you die Name a pleasure One...a few Any form Of lust in you Will tremble at my touch I come down from heaven's light I have all the perfect alibis There's so much... I will show you everything so vividly You won't deny me Bathed in moonlight I'm proclaimed by angels cry Think well Do take your time Because your soul Will be mine the day you die Call my name or carry on Till that last resistance' gone I'm sure we'll meet again I'm your true disciple When the flesh desires You won't deny me

Fear Factory - Obsolete - 05 - Descent SCENE II Fade from black to the same monitor as before. Already flashing across the screen are multiple images of violence, depravity, and despair. These are auditory illusions that will relate to mechanisms normally enhancing accuracy of perception. EDGECRUSHER is alone. He has grown tired, and appears worn out. He has been running for so long from the grasp of SMASHER/DEVOURER, and evading the scope of SECURITRON. His situation is looking bleak, and the stress and angst wear on his face heavily. He ponders his own outcome, calculating every living moment of his life with the variables of his own actions. He dwells upon his life, and what it actually amounts to. He asks himself if he is merely becoming a repetition in the overall machine. Has his quest for freedom become a meaningless descent into oblivion? EDGECRUSHER stops in an abandoned building to rest himself. As he falls to sleep on a cold, flat floor, he repeats the same words as he does every night: LYRICS Falling victim from neglect Designed thoughts and intellect Forgotten and displaced The crux of my dismay I feel nothing I am nothing I feel nothing Nothing How deep I descend? Until I reach my end? How deep I descend? Deeper into this abyss Weighted down and sinking fast Life did not offer me More than false destiny I feel nothing I am nothing I feel nothing Nothing How deep I descend? Until I reach my end? How deep I descend? I am nothing I feel nothing I am nothing I feel nothing Nothing Nothing... How deep ...
Descent This is another video of Descent, a first-person space shooter developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay in 1994. It is one of the first games that introduced the ability to move along each of the three axes independently in a three-dimensional room, the so called six degrees of freedom. It is also the first game with a true 3D textured environment including polygon based enemies, a feature which is often attributed to id Software's Quake. This game was originally done for MS-DOS and then ported to Apple Macintosh and Sony PlayStation. I hope, you don't mind if I upload improved versions of some of my oldest videos from time to time. Since back then, YouTube provides more than 320x240 videos in mono sound, DOSBox got a lot of speed improvements and SquarePulse and I got faster hardware, so we can do it in a better quality today :)

Amnesia : The Dark Descent - Halloween Special - Part 1 - Amnesia on Steam. Well, I did promise, so here it is, this is the first of a two-part live recording of my first (and probably last) play of Amnesia : The Dark Descent. I used two custom save-files for this, to demonstrate two different parts of the game, which I am assured would make good viewing, since the start is a bit slow and ponderous. I'd recommend watching this in the dark, with headphones on. I've intentionally kept the game audio fairly loud to ensure you hear it, it's essential to the atmosphere.
Descent (PC) Gameplay Gameplay from the PC version of Descent, emulated in DOSBox. Released during a time when PCs had some of the best and most advanced games out there, Descent took the one-man-against-a-legion concept and turned it on its head, by allowing you to turn yourself onto your head. True "six degrees of freedom" movement, as they called it. The ability to fly around orienting yourself however you needed to, moving to and fro in all three dimensions. It was something big, something that was practically unheard of. And the rest of the gameplay wasn't bad, either.

Descent 2 This was Descent II, the sequel to Descent. It has been developed by Parallax Software and published by Interplay in 1996. In this video you can see the interactive demo version. Don't laugh ... the last time I had played this game was about 8 years ago. I had some trouble finding the exit and the guide bot always disappeared when I need it ...
