Walnut & Cedar Wall End Tables Here is a pair of Walnut & Cedar wall end tables. I took a walnut log and cut 2 1/2 inch pieces of it and debarked them,Then cut them in half, sanded them and then took a cedar log, Cut it in half debarked it sanded it then put the walnut piece atop of the cedar log. I designed these 2 pieces so that they could be close to the wall but yet the cedar log sits out away from the wall for a nice neat look, also they do not take up near the rooms floor space. Iams: A Recipe for Cruelty (PETA) For nearly 10 months in 2002 and early 2003, a PETA investigator went undercover at an Iams contract testing laboratory and discovered a dark and sordid secret beneath the wholesome image of the dog- and cat-food manufacturer: dogs gone crazy from intense confinement to barren steel cages and cement cells, dogs left piled on a filthy paint-chipped floor after having chunks of muscle hacked from their thighs; dogs surgically debarked; horribly sick dogs and cats languishing in their cages, neglected and left to suffer with no veterinary care. Iams lied to PETA with promises to improve the conditions for animals in its contract laboratories, even assuring us that enrichment programs were already in place, but our undercover investigator saw otherwise. She fought for six months to have a single cheap, rubber toy placed in each cold, lonely kennel. This is Iams' idea of enrichment. Chopping Wood with an Axe. Bucking with Rixford This video properly demonstrates how to buck a log with an ax, although I should have debarked it first. It was a hardwood log, not too sure of the species. A softwood would have taken about half the time. The ax remained sharp and was able to cut paper after I bucked the log and did a small amount of other work. Ill upload a video later proving that it stays sharp.

Our goal is to encourage Barkworks and other pet stores to stop buying puppies from cruel puppy mills that keep dogs in the harshest conditions, cruelly debarked, being bred until they are dead, never knowing what the ground feels like beneath her feet, only wire. Barkworks could thrive instead as a supply store center and have the admiration of the community instead of the disgust it has presently. Many dogs sold at Barkworks are very sick and die soon after (see for example). The march also makes a statement to consumers so that they can become educated about the misery the "puppy in the window" comes from. BARKWORKS SELLS CRUELTY! Beagle Freedom Project - Our First Rescue On December 23, 2010, ARME rescued two Beagles from a medical testing laboratory. Danger! Danger! Flying wood chips! This is a demonstration from Cherie Currie. The log was debarked first. That happened in the preshow, which wasn't filmed. In approximately 30-40 minutes this piece of wood will become a bear made by the extremely talented chainsaw artist Cherie Currie. Watch how the camera gets bumped near the end of this clip. A flying wood chip came flying through the air and brushed my arm before it landed a short distance behind me. This was filmed at the Infineon Race event on August 23, 2008.

My Homemade Bamboo Bow And Arrow 2 Shooting at 2 pieces of 6x4 inch high density fiberboard in front of 3 layers of cardboard with my homemade bamboo bow and arrow from 15 meters. While cutting down bamboo for my early crossbows, I decided to make a simple longbow by splitting some bamboo in half and taping it together with cellophane tape. I got most of the measurements form the Boyer's Bible. The bow is about 66 inches long and the string is made from nylon fishing line. The bow pulls about 30 pounds at full draw but despite its heavy draw weight has little penetrating power. The arrows were much harder to make. I used a smaller and thinner type of bamboo for the arrow shafts which were painstakingly heat straightened and then debarked after a certain period of time as not to cause the arrow shaft to crack (some types of small diameter wood crack when debarked too early, as I learned the hard way). After the arrow shafts dried for a few months they were coated in lacquer and then fletched using shuttle*** feathers and superglue. The arrowheads I use are broadheads because their design is more durable. While shooting the bow, I use an instinctive technique which I found to be more accurate and effective than the conventional technique, though now my shooting skills are on the fritz as I have not been shooting the bow for a few months now. Corgi Teaches Pit Bull Bad Habits My sister's Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Guinness, decides to bark at a dog a few yards over. The normally silent American Pit Bull Terrier, Inky, isn't sure what the barking is directed at but plays along. Barking is such an annoying habit but Inky listens when I tell her to stop. Good girl! yes, the corgi is debarked, he came from his breeder that way.
