NEW TNP Knife Supplier: "Cutlery Shoppe!" Welcome aboard TNP: . I have researched this website supplier for many months in a quest to find another high-value TNP blade supplier. Cutlery Shoppe, run by Jeff, has excellent service levels, a well-designed website (with good photos, specs, real stock checking), good product selection, good brand selection, and smokin' prices. All those aspects are critical for any TNP association. Last fall I actually contacted several big online knife suppliers for perhaps a TNP discount code to offset their much higher prices (sometimes $40 per blade higher!). You see, many TNPrs are not made out of cash and I take it personally to get you the good deals to stretch your gear dollars. Shockingly they said they are satisfied with their higher margins and are happy with the business they get (well in December Christmas shopping they were; some came back to me later!). OK. So enter the Cutlery Shoppe in Idaho...they get the gig! They may not have every knife you want so other blade suppliers will be used and recommended. Please look to my Channel page on the righthand side for these associations. I suggest you give these retailers, who price their knives and gear aggressively for YOU, your business. Like you, I am motivated by the good deal. If I can score three blades for the same amount of money I can score two at the other websites, then my choice is made./////////////APRIL 2011 TNP SPECIAL: FREE Shipping with Code "nutnfancy"

Toddler table cutlery - English Scandinavian Design Award for childrens cutlery A new Danish designed childrens cutlery, ToddlerTable Cutlery, was named as the winner of the Formland Design Award Autumn 2009 on Friday morning. Copenhagen-based company Fabrikators, have made the winning product and during the opening of the Formland Fair at MCH Messecenter Herning they were awarded DKK 100000 as a marketing contribution and an award statuette as the visible proof of the Scandinavian award. ToddlerTable Cutlery is designed by Josefine Bentzen. The designer has placed emphasis on creating cutlery that supports the childrens development of motor skills. The cutlery was designed on the basis of the special way children grasp things. The Scandinavian Award Committee who are responsible for the choice of winner gave the following reasons: "This is the child's own cutlery. The design is good with a handle that fills the whole hand. The design, combined with an anti-slide material on the handle, means that the child has a good grip on the cutlery, which can quickly help to make eating themselves a good experience. The colours are spot on and the expression is unique. The cutlery is playful, practical and very attractive it looks good on a well-laid table. And it is also made of environmentally friendly material. A new, obvious idea for a christening present. Formland is Scandinavia's leading trade fair for design, interior products and interior accessories at MCH Messecenter Herning.

Knife Review: Rat Cutlery RC5 This is a short review of my primary survival knife. The Rat Cutlery RC5. This is an excellent all around survival knife with lots of cababilities. Over the years I have used several different medium to large fixed blade knives, like the KaBar and SOG Seal Pup. I have found the RC5 to be my knife of choice currently. The down side to this knife however is the weight, it weighs 1lb, but if you want an excellent knife and dont mind the weight then this is the knife in my opinion. The blade is 5.25", overall length is 10.88", blade width is 1.56", blade thickness is 1/4" and is a 1095 carbon steel blade.

Rat Cutlery RC-3 knife: Small Tactical Once past that pleasant distraction of RC's model, Nutnfancy reviews the good Rat Cutlery RC-3 knife in this video. This little RC-3 would function nicely as a fixed blade EDC option or small tactical role. Produced for five years under license with the Ontario Knife Company, the RC-3 is indeed a measurable improvement over the Ontario RAT-3. The RC-3 sports a more comfortable and better textured micarta handle. This handle also is thankfully longer for better gripping options and has an exposed tang that terminates in a useful triangular pommel a useful feature for impacts. Its 3.4 inch 1095 blade does not break new ground vs the RAT-3 version but it remains an ideally shaped and versatile blade shape. The RC-3 does have a slightly thinner blade (thickness) which is advantageous for utility and tactical roles. Fit and finish is excellent and just a bit better than the RAT-3, which still remains an excellent choice for the same POU. The RC MOLLE sheath is versatile and includes many more secure mounting options than more simple but still serviceable RAT 3 sheath (reference the RC website for great pictures on this). The price on the RC-3 might be bit higher than the previous version however you will get more for your money and it remains reasonable. A couple of downsides: the edge comes to you dull and the relief grind will need backing off to realize razor sharpness. (just like the re-profiled RAT-3 shown) and the Velcro retention strap on the MOLLE sheath would be more ...

C*** Street Cutlery Cannitler Knife C*** Street Cutlery is a newer knife company, but they are putting out top notch traditional American made knives. This is the first one I bought, a Cannitler model with a large, wide and thick main blade that makes it ideal for use as a "traditional" looking EDC knife. The quality of the knife is amazing, and it is beautiful as well. I really like this knife, and find it a far better knife than similarly priced CASE knives that I have bought recently. www.c***

Knife Review: Rat Cutlery RC4 This is a short review of my Rat Cutlery RC4 knife. This would make a great light to medium duty all around survival knife. I will be using this knife more in future videos. NO, I dont work for Rat Cutlery, and I purchased this knife. It was not given to me by the company ! I just happen to like Rat Cutlery knives, as well as many others.
Esee RC-4 knife: "Decent Medium Blade" by Nutnfancy For a compact choice in survival or tactical knives, the little RC-4 by Rat Cutlery (now Esee Knives) is a good play. Upsides include: superb tan epoxy finish, grippy and well-formed micarta handles, great blade shape, outstanding full flat grinding, excellent Kydex sheath with MOLLE attachments, and good jimping on spine. Given its length limitations, the RC-4 could still do a commendable job in some wilderness tasks. Downsides would include: much higher prices than some other similar, in-category knives (BM CSK II, Cold Steel SRK, Spyderco Fred Perrin, SOG Government Agent [discontinued sadly], Ontario RAT-3), velcro on some sheath models, and thicker blade gives it more weight than is necessary for the POU. And RC does indeed market this as a tactical blade for soldiers judging from its MOLLE-capable sheath and the included instructions. Sheath retention strap on the plastic/ballistic nylon version should be upgraded with a snap. The blade shape would be equally at home here as well as EDC and overall utility use. Overall it is a super strong, good looking performer that might cost more than some other options but will bring great pride of ownership./////////////////Nutnfancy Likability Scale: 8.5 out of 10 (price considered, needs better sheath )

The Hardware is Heat Treated Stainless Steel with Allen Head Pivot Screws & Torx Body Screws. Why Did I use S30V? It is American Made Steel for One Thing. CPM S30V is a martensitic powder made stainless steel which was developed by Dick Barber of Crucible Materials Corporation in collaboration with knifemaker Chris Reeve as a knifemaking steel due to its wear and corrosion resistance. Its chemistry promotes the formation and even distribution of vanadium carbides which are harder and more effective at cutting than chromium carbides. In addition, vanadium carbides give the ...
RAT Cutlery IZULA Survival/ Neck Knife (Part 1) Here is my review of the IZULA by RAT Cutlery! But first this video is dedicated to severzero for requesting the review, thanks dude! This is the best back up survival/ neck knife that I have found on the market to date and I totally dig it!!! I take this knife with me every time i go to the canyon because its light weight (weights 2oz with out the sheath and 3oz with the sheath) and its not too big and not too small and easy to carry on my CAMELBAK. This is a knife that was built for the most rugged terrain and most extreme conditions as how all RAT Cutlery's knives are. The blade is 2.88" long and the overall length from tip to the base of the knife is 6.25". OK jimping on the back of the blade. (gets the job done!). I bought the kit with the knife which includes the Whistle Attachment, Fire Steel, Snap Hook, ParaCord, Cord Lock, Hardware for the MOLLE Lock, 2 Split Rings, MOLLE lock, Sheath and the IZULA knife. The knife with the kit cost me about $70 from NewGraham but you can buy just the knife and the sheath for about $50-60. I threw most of the items that i got with the kit inside my survival tin can, and made a necklace out of the whistle and use the snap hook for extra security when in the canyon. Another reason why i like this knife so much is because this knife is versatile. Because the handle is skeletonized it gives you the option to paracord wrap the handle in many different ways like the one shown in the video. The only other thing that i can say about this ...

Kabar BK11 vs. ESEE (Rat Cutlery) Izula This is a brief look at the bk11 and Izula. Two great knives from two very reputable companies. Both can be razor sharp. The Izula seems to hold its edge longer based on my experience. Having said that, both sharpen up and take an edge quickly. The Izula powder coating is extremely tough and does not seem to wear like the BK!!. The BK11 is no slouch. It is thicker than the Izula and has the added capability of an integrated wire breaker and bottle opener (just in case...LOL!!!). It cuts very well and has stood up to batoning with no problems. The shape of the Izula lends itself, by its shape, to transferring more cutting power from the to the cutting edge and through the material that is being cut. I would def. recommend adding a lanyard to both knives if you have large hands. Putting my pinkie finger into a lanyard hole "connects" my hand to the knife and I am able to think more about cutting and less on keeping a good grip on the blade. I would give the BK11 an 8 and the Izula a 9 out of 10 in the neck knife category. For me at least, the handle needs to be longer for the Izula to get a perfect 10.
Rat Cutlery RC-5 Update w/new Sheath Just returned from a trip from Arizona where I had a chance to test the capabilities of this knife. The micarta panels were very comfortable for all day use. The knife keeps its edge very well and was easy to sharpen. The coating on the blade was very durable and did not even blemish with moderate use. The new Kydex sheath I purchased from for $40 shipped. Overall I am extremely happy with the purchase of the knife and kydex sheath and I am sure this will be used for many years to come.
