  • Let's Play Kirby's Dream Course - Course 1 Hello everybody, SlimKirby here, and welcome to my new Let's Play, Kirby's Dream Course This game is kind of a golf/mini-golf type adventure game where you take Kirby across different courses and levels to get him to the end. The goal for each level/hole is to get Kirby in the hole (after destroying all of the enemies) in the fewest amount of strokes that you can. Although getting the best score isn't required to beat the game, it will yield some neat surprises if you can achieve gold-medal success in every course. As stated above, this is a gold-medal run, so I will be getting all of the gold medals in EVERY course and showing off all of the different unlockables. This is a very difficult thing to do though and because the game requires a lot of precise timing, this will definitely take me more than just one attempt (usually). Basically, here is how each video will be set-up. I will show my first recorded attempt (no matter what) and if I get the gold medal, I will move on in the next video. If I don't get the gold, I will keep playing and recording until I do. In the attempt that I do, instead of showing the whole thing, I will just show a few specific holes (usually holes that I screwed up on previously and ended up getting better scores on later, or holes I ended up using a different method/strategy on) along with me getting the gold medal. Each video will be one course. Finally, as for other stuff I will cover in this game, I have something planned for the 2-Player ...

  • 1. Introductions The American Novel Since 1945 (ENGL 291) In this first lecture Professor Hungerford introduces the course's academic requirements and some of its central concerns. She uses a magazine advertisement for James Joyce's Ulysses and an essay by Vladimir Nabokov (author of ***ta, a novel on the syllabus) to establish opposing points of view about what is required to be a competent reader of literature. The contrast between popular emotional appeal and detached artistic judgment frames literary debates from the Modernist, and through the post-45 period. In the second half of lecture, Hungerford shows how the controversies surrounding the publication of Richard Wright's Black Boy highlight the questions of truth, memory, and autobiography that will continue to resurface throughout the course.
