TateShots: Sound & Vision - Cosey Fanni Tutti Cosey Fanni Tutti is the ideal artist to start our new series on art and music, having worked across the two mediums since 1969. In this film, interspersed with live footage from her bands Throbbing Gristle and Chris and Cosey, she talks about her distaste for decorative art and how her music is all about emotion. She also discusses her work from the 1970s, in which she modeled for glamour magazines as a way to explore the commodification of ***. It would have been hypocritical, she explains, to use images of other people when she could have done it herself. Moving seamlessly between the ***, art and music industries, Cosey puts herself at the heart of her artistic output.

Chris and Cosey - Rise Chris & Cosey, now performing as Carter Tutti, are a band formed in 1981, consisting of partners Chris Carter and Cosey Fanni Tutti, both previously members of industrial music pioneers Throbbing Gristle. History When Throbbing Gristle broke up in 1981, Carter and Tutti signed with Rough Trade Records and began recording as Chris & Cosey.[1][2] They recorded four albums for the label using electronics, sampling, Cosey's vocals and cornet playing. In 1983, they formed their own independent record label Creative Technology Institute (aka CTI) to release more experimental works and collaborations.[2] The first CTI projects, Elemental 7 and European Rendezvous, were released through Cabaret Voltaire's DoubleVision label. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, the duo worked with a number of independent labels such as Nettwerk (Canada), Play It Again Sam (Belgium), Staalplaat (Netherlands), and Wax Trax! (USA), and World Serpent Distribution (UK). In 1992, for artistic and health reasons, the duo stopped touring and concentrated on studio work. They returned to performing live in 1998, documented on the Union album. They have collaborated with such artists as Monte Cazazza, Coil, Current 93, John Duncan, Erasure, Eurythmics, Boyd Rice, and Robert Wyatt. Their 1988 Core album is a collection of such collaborations. Recently, Carter and Tutti have released two ongoing CD series of instrumental music: The Library Of Sound (LOS) and Electronic Ambient Remixes (EAR), currently with ...

1963 Garrard Type A tuntable playing The Cosey Rag by Shelton Brooks This is the Garrard type A with Shure M3D cartridge pulled from the Sherwood Stereo for repair. This Garrard needed a little cleaning on the outside, and revealed a like new condition. Under the turntable platter it was very clean hardly any dust and no dirty oil or sign of wear on any of the gears. It looked like it was just unpacked in 1963. Whoever had this Sherwood really tried to take care of it. The cabinet is in good shape, the FM tuner needed the tuner sprayed, and the turntable now works ok. Three down and one to go, the amplifier itself next. I have to order parts from Canada, and it may take a little while to get the repairs made to the amp. It needs the electrolytic caps replaced the other smaller capacitors are all the better quality type and do not need replacing. It has no paper capacitors anywhere in the unit.
