Digital 8-Bit data codifier board simulation designed by Magnus - EXPLANATION OF THE VIDEO - An electronic 8-bit data codifier. It's algorythm it's not very powerfull, but it's just a functional prototype simulation on my computer. This circuit is based on some 74xx integrated circuits like decade counters, BCD to 7 segments decoders, and a 6264 static RAM memory. The circuit codifies an 8-bit data input (this time simulated by some switches), and then you can select the memory region where you want to store the codified data and codify it by presing the correct button (SET). Then, you have to activate another 8 switches to let the circuit read the memory data, and then you can read the codify data by presing the READ switch. All numbers are represented in hexadecimal. The weird symbols in the codified data are courtesy of the BCD to 7 segments decoders, and they are part of the codified data after all because they mean values higher than 9 (15 (1111, F) equals 7 segments display off).
