Sony F35 Digital Cinematography Camera : DigInfo DigInfo - www.diginfo.tv Sony exhibited its new high-end F35 digital cinematography camera at the Inter BEE 2008 show. As the photograph element at the heart of the camera, the new F35 features single panel CCD 1920 x 1080 dot RGB that is equivalent to Super 35mm film, and with this feature, the cameras offers a depth of field that is similar to that of film cameras. In order to ensure a compact design and the film-style operability of cinema cameras, the F35 was designed with an ergonomic structure that enables direct docking with the SRW-1 portable HDCAM-SR recorder. As a result, a design like that of a magazine that houses the cinema film was achieved. Also, in order to increase the picture quality and the depiction strength of the F35, versatile gamma settings including a hyper setting are used to achieve rich gradation expressions. The new F35 is also highly compatible with computer CG composition and also supports optical cable connections for recording.

Cinematographer Style — The Art and Craft of Filmmaking. Order / Buy the DVD / Book Online now at: Cinematographer Style is about the art of how and why films look the way they do. It is about the influence of style, technique and technology-the art and craft of filmmaking. Cinematographer Style is a feature documentary exploring the nuances of the universal art of visual story-telling. Director Jon Fauer, ASC visited with 110 cinematographers from 15 countries, who have worked in all sectors of the industry, including feature films, television, documentaries, commercials and music videos. Shot on 35mm film, the interviews were edited down to a 90-minute story. The lesson that this film teaches is that there is no textbook and no rules for artful cinematography. It is an art-like painting, writing literature or composing music. No two artists express themselves in exactly the same way. This is a must-see film for writers, directors, producers, actors and others who collaborate with cinematographers, and also for journalists and film buffs. It will provide valuable insights into the art of cinematography and filmmaking. The body language, animated facial expressions and eyes of 110 great storytellers projected on a big screen in order to fully appreciate the words and deeply held feelings about their art. ARRI, Kodak, Technicolor, and many other organizations and individuals volunteered their support and services. Cinematographer Style: a T-Stop Production Edited by Matthew Blute Cinematography by ...
