Terremoto Chile 2010 8.8 Earthquake live Footage 12th floor Hotel Valdivia Quake rattles southwestern US Tijuana - A deadly magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck northwestern Mexico on Sunday, rocking buildings as far away as Arizona and southern California, as a string of aftershocks rattled the US and Mexican Pacific Coast. Emergency workers struggled to respond to damage and injuries after the tremor knocked out power, damaged water lines and snarled traffic. In the border city of Mexicali, located 60km from the tremor's epicenter, a man was killed when his home collapsed on top of him, Mexican rescue workers told AFP. Another person was killed after running out from a home and being hit by a car in Mexicali, where 100 people were injured during the quake, Mexico's director of civil protection Alfredo Escobedo told CNN. Roads cracked, telephone poles were toppled and sides were ripped off buildings in Mexicali, a city of 900 000 inhabitants that serves as the capital of Baja California state. Chile All Ways Surprising ATTENTION: This video was uploaded with the intention of getting oppinions about que video's quiality, and not oppinions about Chile or any other country. ----- Chile, isn't that a kind of hot pepper? Chile, what's that? Where is it? These are some of the questions that have been heard for many years by Chilean diplomats, exporters and travelers abroad. It appears that Chile's geographical isolation from the world's leading industrial and cultural centers has limited knowledge of the country among many people elsewhere. To remedy this situation -- and in keeping with the world trend to consider a country's international image a relevant component of its competitiveness -- the State and the private sector have come together to create a Chile brand, which will help strengthen the country's messages abroad and allow more effective use of the resources dedicated to communication and marketing. According to its creators, the "All Ways Surprising" motto integrates three broad ideas: the country's breathtaking, diverse and unusual geography; its warm, efficient and enterprising inhabitants; and its stability, openness to the world, solid institutions and people who are true to their word.

The Crimes of Pinochet - Chile November 1998 He claimed he was Chile's saviour but devised one of the worst concentration camp regimes since Hitler's 'Grand Plan.' As Chile comes to terms with General Pinochet's death, we offer you the definitive film on his crimes. Under Pinochet's regime, over a quarter of a million people were detained in prisons like the Chacabuco desert camp. These are the only images to have emerged from his camps and reveal the true horror of his regime. "They must stay here until they realise they are on the wrong path," states the guard at Chacabuco Concentration camp. Nearby prisoners suspected of being Communists are forced to march and sing military songs. One of the victims filmed at the camp was Patricia Letelier. Now, she lives in exile in Scotland and recalls what happened to her at Chacabuco. "I heard shouting and screaming and knew what was waiting for me. Shortly afterwards my own torture began." Powerful images show men kneeling with their hands in the air, being kicked and beaten with the butts of soldiers' guns. Others show men being marched into the stadium stripped *** with blankets over their heads.
