An Aly How To: Taking Care of Your Eyes No, I'm not a professional. I am just simply giving tips on ways to take care of your eyes better, and to hopefully prevent other people from getting styes and chalazia (chalazion is the singular form). Although these things are minor and small, styes and chalazia are a pain to have, and for some people they would have to be surgically removed. These simple tips are small, but will make a big difference in the long run. So especially for the young ***agers who do watch this video, start getting into the habit now! Styes and chalazia tend to appear more in ***s, I don't know the reason but it just does. SONG:: You are the One by DJ Babyboi

Chalazion removal, my 2nd cosmetic surgery, LOL um, not to scare you but it is painful, they do a local on your eye such as Lidocaine or something similar, they then flip the lid inside out and place a circular clamp around the Chalazion then cut the chalazion through the inside of the lid so that there is no scaring on the outside, the clamp is the most painful part about it and once they scoop the crap out of it if they touch the outer epidermis u definitely feel that. Then it takes about 6 months for the redness to subside, if it all possible get it done by a surgeon with a cauterizing scalpel so that it doesn't take as long to heal. Some surgeons will give you nitrous so that you sleep through the whole thing, then I recommend taking an antibiotic for 90 days such as Doxycycline, because of what the doxycycline does inside your body you probably will never have a recurrence, which I haven't in over a year now. Another measure I take is to wash my lids with 40 strokes of baby shampoo daily, and often replace my contact lenses, another good thing to do is stress management and relaxation techniques because they are stress related for certain. if you currently have the chalazion you should start on a hot compress 3 times a day, i use a microwavable compress and wrap it in a wet hot cloth and use it till its cold, this will bring it to a head, do not pop the head under any circumstance. All of this information is gathered through years of medical research since none of this is anything my doctor told me to do. Just ...

Chalazion A chalazion pronounced /kəˈleɪziən/ (plural chalazia /kəˈleɪziə/), also known as a meibomian gland lipogranuloma, is a cyst in the eyelid that is caused by inflammation of a blocked meibomian gland, usually on the upper eyelid. Chalazia differ from styes (hordeola) in that they are subacute, nontender, and usually painless nodules. May become acutely inflamed but, unlike a stye, usually point inside the lid rather than on the lid margin. A chalazion or meibomian cyst could take months to fully heal with treatment and could take years to heal without any.
