  • McCain blinked 104 times in 60 seconds during the 3rd debate During the third presidential debate, John McCain was blinking like a mad man. It's something odd that happens to him only sometimes. Other times, his eyes are completely normal. But during this debate, it was the worst I've seen. So I decided to slow down the video and count how many blinks McCain made during a single minute (in fact the tape is a bit under a minute). I counted 104 blinks. That's just bizarre. Even odder, you'll see two instances in which McCain suffered from his odd asynchronous blinking problem, in which his left eye blinks while his right eye stays open. Here are recent blog posts I did about the eye problem, including screen shots and other video - note, the video also shows a very odd facial twitch, convulsion, happening at the same time. The facial twitch seems to happen during the same periods that McCain is having the blinking problem: This video is around 2 minutes long because it's been slowed down so you can see and count the blinks for yourself. The original video is just under a minute, around 57 seconds actually. Thanks.
