Chicago Teachers Union Strike Authorization June 2012 WLSTV The Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) revealed nearly 90 percent of its eligible members voted to give their labor organization the authority to call a strike should contract negotiations reach an impasse. The Union has been in negotiations with the Chicago Public School system (CPS) since November 2011. A new state law requires a 75 percent of all eligible CTU voters to vote in the affirmative in order to provide strike authorization. Although both CTU and CPS are in the fact-finding stage of negotiations, the Union pointed out that the independent review will only provide recommendations on a small number of contract concerns. Public school educators say they are fighting for smaller class sizes, art, music, world language and physical education classes for students, and fair compensation for being asked to work under more difficult guidelines as determined by CPS. Armed with strike authorization, teachers, paraprofessionals and clinicians say they believe this will give them more leverage at the bargaining table going forward. Should a strike become necessary, the Union's 800-member House of Delegates will set the date for a work stoppage.

Lindsay Graham (RS.C.) in support of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). "And when they say, 'I want my lawyer,' you tell them, 'Shut up. You don't get a lawyer.'" No recent piece of legislation has been more controversial than the NDAA, which passed the Senate last week and includes provisions that apparently grant the president unlimited power to detain American citizens arrested in connection to terrorism. The House approved its version of the NDAA earlier this year, so the legislature must hammer out differences and present a final version to President Barack Obama. Authorization is determining what they can and can't have access to after Authentication has occurred. Kerberos version 5 This is the default system that Windows will use when it is available. It is a ticket based system. A ticket based system is when a ticket is generated when the user first logs in. This ticket contains all the groups the user is a member of and thus determines what they have access to. This ticket can be used with other computers on the network to grant access. If the users access changes after they login they will need to log off and back on again in order for the changes to take effect. Windows will use Kerberos when it can, however there are times when Kerberos can't be used.
