Inside the Vaults - National Archives Discovers Date Change on Lincoln Document An independent researcher confessed to altering an original Lincoln document in the holdings of the National Archives. Thomas Lowry admitted to Archives investigators that he smuggled a pen into the research room in the National Archives building in Washington, DC, and used it to changed the date on a pardon Lincoln issued to Union soldier Patrick Murphy, who had been sentenced to death by court martial. Lowry changed the year so that Lincoln's signature was dated April 14, 1865, the day Lincoln was shot at Ford's Theater. Lowry claimed he had found what was likely the final document signed by President Lincoln before his death, granting life to a condemned man. Acting Chief of Reference Trevor Plante and Investigative Archivist Mitch Yokelson discuss the case in this video from the National Archives.

Archive - Love Song From "Noise" album. Couldn't find it anywhere, so I thought I would upload it. :) Lyrics: All this time I'm distracted from the world The world outside of your arms All I need is here Try and find A way to say the things The things I feel when you smile They take away my words You know, that people come and go It's here for me When things in life run me down All I need is you You wanted a love song You asked for a love song You wanted a love song from me You asked for a love song from me Now there's a love song for you Yeah, I know, I don't hear you, I don't see you, I can't feel you You know, it's always my fault, communication is such a let down I ain't proud of my behaviour I thank the lord, you're still here (Repeat x 6) Yeah I know that I push you Yeah I know that I push you Yeah I know, yeah I know, yeah I know that I push you I know that I push you (Repeat x 7) Try and find, a way to say the things The things I feel when you smile They take away my words You know, that people come and go You wanted a love song from me You asked for a love song from me Now there's a love song for you

Again - Archive (Long version with Lyrics) My Favorite Song ( )...(Chris Demian) You're tearing me apart Crushing me inside You used to lift me up Now you get me down If I was to walk away From you, my love Could I laugh again? If I walk away from you And leave my love Could I laugh again? Again, again... You're killing me again Am I still in your head? You used to light me up Now you shut me down If I was to walk away From you, my love Could I laugh again? If I walk away from you And leave my love Could I laugh again? I'm losing you again Lacking me inside I used to lift you up Now I get you down Without your love You're tearing me apart With you close by You're crushing me inside Without your love You're tearing me apart Without your love I'm doused in madness I can't lose the sadness Can't lose the sadness Can't lose the sadness You're tearing me apart Crushing me inside Without your love (you used to lift me up) You're crushing me inside (now you get me down) With you close by I'm doused in madness Can't lose the sadness It's ripping me apart It's tearing me apart It's tearing me apart I don't know how It's ripping me apart It's tearing me apart It's tearing me apart I don't know why I don't know why I don't know why I don't know why Without your love Without your love Without your love Without your love It's tearing me apart

Have You Got Your License Yet? (1923) The BBC began radio broadcasts on 14 November 1922, and less than a year later they were issuing thinly-veiled threats to "pirates" who hadn't paid their licence fee, via the Topical Budget newsreel of 29 October 1923. Presumably the humiliation of being depicted as a chimpanzee was enough to persuade miscreants to pay up - later campaigns would resort to far more direct threats, such as the eternally roving detector van with its postcode database, neither of which had been invented by 1923. (Michael Brooke) You can read more about the Topical Budget silent newsreel series at
