Onyxia Wipe Animation The Original Onyxia Wipe Animation ============================ This is an animation I made back in April 2006 about an unsuccessful, but yet disturbingly hilarious, attempt to defeat the dragon Onyxia from World of Warcraft. My Animated World , , /JelleVanDun This Stop Motion Animation takes you into another world. In this world no physical laws count. The only laws that count are the laws of the Animator. I animated myself through my house and the city of Breda, the Netherlands. It took me 6 months to complete. That is mainly because of the weather. It wasn't always suitable to shoot my scenes. No Mas Presents: Dock Ellis & The LSD No-No by James Blagden In celebration of the greatest athletic achievement by a man on a psychedelic journey, No Mas and artist James Blagden proudly present the animated tale of Dock Ellis' legendary LSD no-hitter. In the past few years we've heard all too much about performance enhancing drugs from greenies to tetrahydrogestrinone, and not enough about performance inhibiting drugs. If our evaluation of the records of athletes like Mark McGwire, Roger Clemens, Marion Jones, and Barry Bonds needs to be revised downwards with an asterisk, we submit that that Dock Ellis record deserves a giant exclamation point. Of the 263 no-hitters ever thrown in the Big Leagues, we can only guess how many were aided by steroids, but we can say without question that only one was ever thrown on acid. Sadly, the great Dock Ellis died last December at 63. A year before, radio producers Donnell Alexander and Neille Ilel, had recorded an interview with Ellis in which the former Pirate right hander gave a moment by moment account of June 12, 1970, the day he no-hit the San Diego Padres. Alexander and Ilels original four minute piece appeared March 29, 2008 on NPRs Weekend America. Amazing Fire Animation! All I can say is ..this took over 2 weeks to do. A lot of fire, A lot of smoke, a lot of heat, and a whole lot of frustration. Some may not consider this an illusion. Heres the definition of illusion: something that deceives by producing a false or misleading impression of reality. The idea for this started when I was editing the behind the scenes footage for the Fire Illusion video. I sped up the footage of me blowing out the candles and it looked really cool to see the candles going from being lit to unlit so quickly ..and it hit me that the candles could be used as pixels. I spent a couple of weeks thinking about how involved it would be to do. My initial goal was to animate classic videos games, such as tetris, pong, pac-man and mario bros. After testing I realized mario bro's would be too hard and I gave up. I stuck with tetris, pong and pac-man but since those didnt take up much time I decided to include a few random shapes. The initial goal was to light each candle individually and blow it out according to the required movements of each shape. I soon realized that it was just not going to be practical. The main problem was keeping the flame consistent on the candles. Some candles would burn perfectly. Others would burn out quickly. I decided to take a different approach. I took a picture of all the candles unlit ..and then lit all the candles ..and took a picture of that. I know that some people will consider that "cheating" and I understand. But I just wanted to ...
