Aetiology interview with Level-Up Magzine Part 1 Aetiology, Interview

'CFS' harms everyone, not just ME sufferers This video explains why it isn't just people with ME who are harmed by the creation of the bogus disease category of 'CFS' and why it harms everyone misdiagnosed with CFS. (Note that this is not about mere terminology, it is about the DEFINITIONS of 'CFS' not defining any distinct disease, including ME, that is why every diagnosis of CFS is a MISdiagnosis.) Today patients with all sorts of different illnesses are commonly misdiagnosed as having 'CFS.' Under cover of the bogus disease category of CFS, this diverse mix of patients are treated as if they each suffered the exact same specific illness. This is clearly unscientific, and unethical. These patients must be given the opportunity to be diagnosed correctly if they are to have any chance of appropriate treatment or recovery, not given a meaningless 'CFS' misdiagnosis. Patients with ME need this same opportunity. Treating this diverse and heterogenous patient group as if their illnesses each shared the same symptoms, aetiology, pathology and response to treatment is inappropriate and highly unlikely to benefit the health and wellbeing of any of the patient groups involved. Treating this 'CFS' group as if they each shared a specific psychological or behavioural illness is also clearly inappropriate. Aside from representing a heterogenous patient group, many (likely the vast majority) of those with the diagnosis are not mentally ill, and do not suffer from behavioural problems. (This includes of course, those patients ...

Face to Face with Chris Heyns.wmv Face to Face is a monthly interview series with personalities in the urology field. As a successor to BJUI's Conversations, Face to Face is patterned after the highly-acclaimed BBC television series of the same name where former British politician John Freeman interviewed famous men and women with an insightful and probing style. In this edition of Face to Face, I talk with Chris Heyns, who has been head of the Department of Urology at Tygerberg Hospital since 1995. In addition, he is President of the College of Urologists of South Africa, a position he was elected to in 2000. Prof. Heyns obtained his medical degrees (MB ChB) in 1973 and completed a Master of Medicine degree in Urology at the University of Stellenbosch in 1986. His PhD thesis in 1990 dealt with testicular descent in the fetus and the aetiology of cryptorchidism. His current research interests include urological oncology, urethral stricture disease and urogenital trauma. Recently, I interviewed him from his office in Parow, Cape Town. Statins & more about SSRI drugs - $29 Billion Con We all know that taking a drug to treat a symptom is STUPID. Instead seek to understand the root cause or aetiology. Statins (Lipitor, Zocor, Crestor, etc) are one of the two greatest cons being sold to us consumers the other is SSRI drugs, though ignorance and naivety we buy into what our unquestionable Drs tell us. After all they are paid to TREAT us and to FIX us. It's funny in certain parts of China you only pay your Dr, while you are in good health. Once you become sick you stop paying them! Please again do your own research and you may find that your body naturally produces Cholesterol because it is required to heal you. A higher than normal percentage of Cholesterol in your body means youre stressed and have caused cellular damage. Your body controls your cholesterol levels perfectly well when you are in balance. Ask the Q, what is causing my body to produce higher than normal levels (if it is) and start changing your LIFESTYLE. Lowering your Cholesterol levels will make you ill by damaging your muscle fibres and bringing you closer to Alzheimers dis-ease! Why, because Statins are great at lowering cholesterol, but thats not the only issue your Homocysteine levels are a greater concern with reference to CHD, Stroke, etc. And lowering your Cholesterol levels will allow your body to create more cancer cells, than your body can deal with. SSRI drugs are also very addictive and kill far more people than they save from depression. Again whats the cause of your ...

Cholesterol - Is it good or bad? What do you think? Why would your body produce it in excess? Understand the aetiology (root cause) of high cholesterol. A greater CV health challenge would be high Homocysteine levels, not cholesterol. This AA has been clearly shown to be a contributing factor, which can cause CHD. But why would your body produce high levels of Homocysteine? Oxidised cholesterol is a huge challenge in your body too. So are you eating good local organic fruit and vegetables? Cholesterol is termed a STEROL - Lipid produced mainly in the liver, although small amounts can be generated in the intestines and other organs. Over 60% of your brain is cholesterol! Your LDLs role is to transport cholesterol from the liver to your organs and tissues, where they are incorporated into cell membranes. HDL carries old Cholesterol discarded into bile (used to break down fat we eat) or used to produce hormones, eg Testosterone, oestrogen, DHEA, progesterone & cortisol. Cholesterol is also deployed to the nervous system. Your serum cholesterol levels are influenced by fat intake, stress, physical activity, obesity, illness, smoking, genetics, alcohol and medicines. Remember association does not automatically equate to causation. That is, high cholesterol observed in CHD patients does not mean it causes the die-ease! Despite what some experts claim low cholesterol levels do NOT guarantee immunity against CHD and high cholesterol levels are anything but a sure sign of impending coronary disaster! Ensure if ...

Alternating therapy Some products are only available in select markets - please contact your distributor for details. Pressure ulcers have been reported across all healthcare settings, affect all age groups and are costly in terms of quality of life and health care resources. Pressure ulcers develop when persistent pressure on a bony site obstructs healthy capillary flow leading to tissue necrosis. This typically occurs over a bony prominence but can occur in any situation where blood flow to the skin is impeded. The aetiology of pressure ulcers is multi-factorial and although mechanical forces are the prime aetiological factors, more than 100 risk factors have been identified in the literature that reduce tissue tolerance and increase patient susceptibility

Medical/Subclinical Model - Which do you use? Medical/Subclinical Model Treating symptoms or finding the root cause Another great man Ive recently got to learn from is Reed Davis () He has created a wonderful programme that allows me to work with my clients and get to their root causes. His system allows me to play the role of Sherlock Holmes and find the aetiology of a persons compromised immune system. Would it make sense to you to find the cause of your pain/discomfort, etc and to empower you HOW TO take control of it? By watching this simple video clip youll gain a greater understanding as to what we have created in the form of our dis-ease management system which does not serve us, but also offers you an opportunity to look more closely at your environment and if necessary, FIX it! Enjoy the journey, sending love and peace.

為什麼阿斯匹靈可以治療習慣性流產? Anti-phospholipid antibodies and other immunological causes of recurrent foetal loss--a review of literature of various therapeutic protocols. Shetty S, Ghosh K. National Institute of Immunohaematology (ICMR), KEM Hospital, Parel, Mumbai 400012, India. Abstract PROBLEM: An immune-based aetiology is one of the several accepted causes for recurrent foetal loss (RFL). However, most of the immunological theories have not fulfilled the criteria for causality. This is a review of the various immunological causes of RFL and the outcome of different treatment protocols. METHOD OF STUDY: Both auto- and alloimmune maternal immunological abnormalities have been proposed to account for foetal loss. Among the autoimmune factors, anti-phospholipid antibodies (APAs) have been demonstrated to be the strongest risk factors for foetal loss, the prevalence of which is as high as 40% in women with RFL. Other autoimmune antibodies implicated in RFL are anti-nuclear antibodies (ANAs), anti-thyroid antibodies and anti-endothelial cell antibodies. The alloimmune factors implicated in pregnancy loss of unknown aetiology include abnormal natural killer (NK) cell activity, alteration in T helper 1 (Th1) and T helper 2 (Th2) ratios, presence of alloimmune antibodies like anti-paternal cytotoxic antibodies, anti-idiotypic antibodies, mixed lymphocyte reaction blocking antibodies and abnormal expression of HLA-G molecules. Management of patients with RFL is mainly based on immunomodulatory ...

hemiatrophia faciei progressiva een impressie over een heel bijzonder en zeldzaam ziektebeeld, halfzijdige gezichtsatrofie: Facial hemiatrophy is a disorder of subcu taneous tissue, muscles and bone first de scribed by Parry in 1825 and Romberg in 1847 and named after them by Eulemberg in 1871. Romberg and Parry's disease has to be differ entiated from facial hemiatrophy due to scleroderma, coup de sabre type. In contrast to scleroderma, in Romberg's disease the change is much more diffuse, the skin remains soft and nonadherent and there is no loss of hair. There is atrophy of the subcutaneous tissue, muscle and bones on one side of the face leading to asymmetry and distortion. Inspite of the muscle atrophy, the muscle power is very good. Aetiology of the disease remains unknown. It commonly affects adolescent girls with no apparent hereditary pattern ParryRomberg syndrome (progressive facial hemiatrophy) is a unilateral, slowly progressive atrophy affecting the skin, subcutaneous tissues, muscles, and bones. The relationship between ParryRomberg syndrome and connective tissue disorders, especially scleroderma en coup de sabre, is still unclear. The neurological symptoms, including epilepsy, migraine, and brain lesion, on neuroimaging may be similar. Rasmussen encephalitis (RE) is connected with chronic inflammation and damage of one hemisphere. Clinically, it is manifested by epileptic partial seizures and unilateral neurological symptoms

Urinary Obstruction Aetiology 140110.avi this is a video lecture on urinary obstruction. The aetiology factors causing urinary obstruction are described. Helpful for medical students.

Ptosis Surgery - Obtaining a Symmetrical and an Appropriate Eyelid Height in Each and Every Patient! If many people wonder why you look sleepy, you probably do not look sleepy, but you probably have ptosis. Ptosis describes an abnormally low upper eyelid in the relaxed primary position, resulting in a very sleepy eyed look. While in the initial stages, you may just look less alert, in the later stage this may lead to tired eyes, more watering from eyes and even obstruction to sight as the opaque eyelid obstructs light by coming in the line of your sight. Ptosis can be classified in several ways. The common way is to classify as congenital or acquired and as (1) aponeurotic, (2) myogenic, (3) neurogenic, or (4) mechanical. This is important as even though adults as well as children can have this eyelid abnormality, treating this can require completely different surgeries and can have completely different results, hence diagnosing the aetiology is important. Ptosis surgery is amongst the most unforgiving of aesthetic procedures, as everyone, I repeat everyone, can tell if one eyelid is even half a mm over or under the other. Ptosis surgery requires much skill and is best performed by an expert in facial and oculo-plastic surgery, since performing surgery is just one part of the problem, but more importantly given the dynamics of the eyelid and the critical role it plays in protecting the eye from dust and injury, the after-care can be substantially more important than even the surgery itself. All in all, ptosis surgery is complicated and needs considerable time, effort and ...

Parents of Obese Children Claimed to be the Real Guilty http Child health experts have gainsaid that parents, who are unable to deliver proper care and attention concerning their obese child's proper eating and exercising regime, thereby overlooking all the necessary advice and guidance required for the same, are guilty of neglect and can expect child protection officers to knock at their doors anytime soon. An article by the British Medical Journal, published on the internet, outlined that it may be right to consider the child protection, as an important concern if the parents consistently fail to deliver their responsibility in altering their family's lifestyle for good and will not participate in the outside assistance. "The aetiology [causation] of obesity is so complex that we believe it is untenable to institute child protection actions relating parental neglect to the cause of their child's obesity" or "to criticize parents for failing to treat it successfully, if they engage adequately with treatment", it posited. The group, spearheaded by Dr. Russell Viner at the UCL Institute of Child Health in London, conducted reviewing of existing evidence and proposed a practice strategy for the same. Furthermore, Viner pointed that because of a strong link between food, feeding, caring and love, some parents often find themselves in a difficult position to inhibit their children from eating more. And, yes one cannot deny that eating is a pleasure, for both who are obsessed by food or for those who are ...

Health - *** choices to make! We have created a cultural reality that doesn't always serve us, like going to your Dr to walk away with a DRUG, which at best may treat your symptoms. I'm making a generalisation here, but most people do this. Dr's are great for diagnostic modalities (finding out what is wrong with you, except avoid Mammograms)) and Acute Traumas (when you damage yourself badly) My Q. What was the aetiology (root cause) of your physical body giving you inflammation, signs and symptoms and or a dis-ease? Do you truly think that by continuing to live a 'dysfunctional' lifestyle, or one that does not serve you, popping pills, that you'll improve your quality of life? Think about it.... What *** choices could make? Have fun, sending love Magnus
