Aero-TV: Doorway to Aviation - Academy of Model Aeronautics at AOPA The AMA Joins the AOPA for the Promotion of General Aviation During the Golden Age of Aviation, the nations youth idolized such industry leaders as Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart. As enthusiasm for aviation grew, small-scale aircraft building boomed in popularity, becoming both a fashionable hobby as well as an educational tool for the expanding career field. To support the growing number of enthusiasts, model builders founded the Academy of Model Aeronautics in 1936. Today, the non-profit organization continues to support its original mission: to promote the development, education, and advancement of model aviation as a recognized sport and worthwhile recreation activity. As the worlds largest model aviation association, the Academy of Model Aeronautics represents more than 150000 members, chartering more than 2500 model airplane clubs internationally. Open to anyone interested in model aviation, the AMA is the United States official national body for model aviation. As a liaison with the Federal Aviation Administration, the AMA works with both national and local government agencies, zoning boards, and recreational departments to promote the interests of model enthusiasts. Today, the organization sponsors more than 2000 model competitions throughout the country each year, including the annual National Aeromodeling Championships, the largest model airplane competition in the world. Though the organization has grown to such prominence, the AMA remains committed to ...

Urban Aeronautics AirMule UAV First Engine Start Designed for cargo and medical evacuation missions. According to the IDFs Medical Corps, their interest in UrbanAeros MULE UAV stems directly from the lessons learned after the Second Lebanon war in 2006. One of these lessons points to an urgent need to facilitate the provision of supplies and medical equipment to remote units in areas inaccessible to helicopters, as well as a need to evacuate casualties and wounded from these same areas. It is expected that in the next few months, the design of the vehicles payload bays, which double as rescue cabins for wounded soldiers, will be defined in accordance with valuable inputs from the IDFs Medical Corps. On June 2nd has been performed the first engine start on the MULE Prototype. Since then, the vehicle has been tested numerous times and has accumulated a few hours of running time on its transmissions, shafts and lift rotors operating at their nominal take-off power rating. Will be available for use after 2014.

Modern Warfare 2 - Aeronautics (A dr choo Montage) My second montage, first of strictly AC130 and Chopper Gunner footage since people don't want it to be included in my regular tages. I've taken your suggestions into consideration! Enjoy. For the AC130 footage, all doubles and singles were taken out for the most part, only showing triples, quads and quins. These two kill streak rewards do more damage than weapons of mass destruction. Comment, rate, favorite and subscribe. :)
Aeronautics at NASA Ames In business and in our personal lives, the aviation industry is a key enabler to our way of life and the smooth functioning of our economy. NASA's Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate is looking for new ideas, conducting basic research into new technologies and operational procedures, and trying out new vehicle, operations, and safety technologies in relevant environments. Produced in June, 2010, this video was created for "The Leading Edge," a one hour television program on NASA TV that explored the future of aviation in the United States. NASA Centers with a legacy in aeronautics research were asked to put together a highlights video detailing their contributions to NASA's rich history in aero research. This is a brief look at the contributions made by the NASA Ames Research Center.

Aviation Infrastructure for the 21st Century NASA Aeronautics Design CC Great classic plane livery shots. Close Captioned. This NASA segment focuses on the importance of air travel in todays society. Currently, over 600 million people travel on airplanes and it is expected that over a billion people will use air transportation in the near future. Attention is turning to ways to improve what is an already crowded transportation system. A unique government and commercial plan develops the Next Generation Air Transportation System, or NGATS. The Joint Planning Development Office (JPDO) is designing a multi-stage approach to not only handle an increase in the large number of passengers, but minimize air and noise pollution.
