Govt asks Maoists to abjure violence Kolkata, February 10(ANI): Reiterating its earlier stand, Indian government on Tuesday asked the Maoists to abjure violence. India's Home Minister P Chidambaram said the government was ready to talk to the rebels but they must halt violence. Chidambaram said the progress of operations against the Maoists was steady and slow but the government will continue to make further progress. Chidambaram added government would continue with anti-Maoist operations to reclaim the areas dominated by the rebels.
